LeviF Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 So, you could get the cupcakes pretty cheap if you were a Native-American female? Any extra break if you are a senior citizen too? Jews will be at the event to provide loans with reasonable interest rates to those who wish to buy pastries.
Chef Jim Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 The bake say does not mock ethnicity. It mocks our state politics.
Gary M Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 So, you could get the cupcakes pretty cheap if you were a Native-American female? Any extra break if you are a senior citizen too? But students say the joke is anything but funny. More than 200 students responded to the event, most opposed, and some violently so. One threatened to burn the table and set the cupcakes on fire. Regardless, these are some real tough guys. I just wonder if they are going to do it with flowers in their hair?

And really...I'm surprised there's not government grants available for such a cupcake sale. But I thought the liberals were tolerant and peaceful? While the hypocrisy would be notable in most cases...we're talking about Berkeley here.
RkFast Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Friend of mine works for a major software manufacturer, who shall remain nameless, but whose headquarters are in a nice Seattlle suburb. One of the managers in her dept is a black female homosexual. Friend tells me this chick could take a **** on the CEOs desk and not get fired becuase of the strong identity poltics thats run through in the Company. Not really related to the Bezerkely nonsense...just thought Id share.
IDBillzFan Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) While the hypocrisy would be notable in most cases...we're talking about Berkeley here. One could argue that the group holding the bake sale did so for national exposure because, let's be honest, virtually everyone knows that Berkeley students (1) are always yelling about the low-hanging fruit because they're simply not smart enough to truly understand what is really going on, and (2) turn violent if you don't recycle your used toilet paper. It's like mentioning 9/11 to Rosie O'Donnell. Very predictable. Edited September 27, 2011 by LABillzFan
Chef Jim Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 You wouldn't believe the diversity silliness that goes on at my wife's office in the city. Or maybe you would. My wife in her best kindergarten school teacher's voice: Diversity is fun, diversity is good, diversity is our friend.
LeviF Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 You wouldn't believe the diversity silliness that goes on at my wife's office in the city. Or maybe you would. My wife in her best kindergarten school teacher's voice: Diversity is fun, diversity is good, diversity is our friend. Reminds me of my favorite leftist doublethink propaganda: "There is one race, the human race... celebrate diversity!"
Wacka Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 When they ask race on the last two census forms, I put down "human". Not fooling.
Jauronimo Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 When did diversity become inherently good? It certainly can be, but its neither good nor bad, it just is. Same with change. Somehow these words connote something totally different now than they were ever meant to communicate.
