Glamslam Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 This was the right man for the job. Humble. Smart.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 This was the right man for the job. Humble. Smart. As a person, he's just about impossible to dislike. As a coach...well, there's a level of offensive sophistication going on that Buffalo fans haven't seen in a pretty long time. What I've seen over the first 3 weeks is a predilection for low-risk, high-reward playcalling that is always designed to exploit a wrinkle in the other team's defense.
John from Riverside Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Give credit where credit is due though....Bill Cowher when he did not take this team gave full endorsement to Chan Gailey and said we got the right man for the job.
K-9 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Let's see how he "handles prosperity." Of all the things he's said in PCs, I found that to be very telling of the man. Glad we have him. GO BILLS!!!
nucci Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Give credit where credit is due though....Bill Cowher when he did not take this team gave full endorsement to Chan Gailey and said we got the right man for the job. Correct and if Cowher did take the job, Gailey would have been his OC.
Max997 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 well if Cowher became the Bills head coach there was a really good chance he would have wanted Chan to be his OC
Glamslam Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Cower who? I never wanted him anyway. If we had to beg, forget it. Give the bills brass, and buddy credit.
mattsox Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 This was the right man for the job. Humble. Smart. Yep. Finally got a OC as our HC. What a difference this has made for our team...
Glamslam Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 There was much doubt. Let's agree now, we were wrong about this hire. Dave wanstedt is a good. Hire too.
John from Riverside Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 It is not for sure we would have this kind of cohesiveness because Cowher and Nix might have butted heads on things........ I think it is exactly as it was meant to be
Glamslam Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Not too Hollywood. A perfect wise man. Sorta levy like....
BuffaloBill Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Yep. Finally got a OC as our HC. What a difference this has made for our team... I still really have to wonder if we have the right DC but I'll leave that for another day.
Defend Greece Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 What's the difference between the national media and this forum? Nothing, a bunch of people who say we suck and then after three wins everybody jump on the band wagon Holy cow
HARCO186 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Thats because he was the offensive coordinator for Bill. Bill even called it before the game the Bills are a legitt team and it's not who you play but when. He called it and said we can and will win. More than just ties with these guys but a true respect that goes deep. I think Chan was the right person for the job and it took only a year to develop what we have is incredible. How many thought our offense would be tops in the NFL? I thought we would be better but not tops and not this good. Chan is making history in front of us and man it feels good. If people up in Buffalo aren't buying this guy his 6 pack of Bush Beer in cans than I don't know what to say because that Good Ole BoY can sure coach a team.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Yep. Finally got a OC as our HC. What a difference this has made for our team... Wasn't mularkey an OC? The way I see it, we finally got a guy who adapts his philosophy and strategy to what he has, and looks for ways to neutralize what the other team does best.
