Guys in our locker room didn't feel that it was an upset yesterday. - Feeding off of negative press. Group of guys "pile of no names" ... when nobody gives you credit/respect you have to go out and earn it, they feed off of it. - Very powerful when you get a group of guys who weren't given a chance... biggest example is Fred Jackson: inspirational leader. - Pats are a tough team, never want to spot them 21 points. But there was no panic at all. They knew they needed help from D and get turnovers. D stepped up huge in second half. At the half they said "We did it last week... did it last year in Cincinnati... lets go do it again. Lets go shock the world" - Went through growing pains last year with new coach/system. A lot of new players/young players and lost a lot of close games. Probably were better than 4-12 last year, but sometimes you have to go through bad times to get to the good times. A year together in the system and playing together has helped. Tough losses last year helped teach them how to win this year. - How does Stevie get so open? "I don't know. He's not extremely fast or extremely quick or anything that would jump out in a combine setting. But he just gets open... you can't cover him. I saw it day 1 when I got to Buffalo and we were both on the scout team." - Fred is inspirational leader, not always with words but actions on the field. Making blocks, catching passes, doing everything. - Fans of Buffalo feel a certain kinship and connection with you. Do you feel it? "I absolutely do. When I first signed everyone asked 'Why would you want to go to Buffalo?' I Didn't know a lot about the city when we moved there, but my family has loved living here." - How fired up are you for iPhone 5? They will probably launch it when he has to be working, so his wife will be in line to get it. - What do you expect iPhone5 to have that iPhone 4 didn't? stevewin Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 - 3-0 Come from behind Jets and Pats looking up Feels good season still young we expected to be 3-0 good feeling - Dond't see as upset Home game for us, we expected to win, were confident - If no one believes can you tap into it Yes the guys in our locker room no one beleived in - pile of no names - when no one gives you credit/respect have to earn it - No names doen't mean no game Yes, very powerful for guys having stuff to prove - Fred Jackson great example - got chance b/c Marv went to Coe we feed of it Fred insiprational leader - How feeling after 21-0 start Tough enough to compete as it is - not to mention spotting 21 - were down week before, no paic , knew needed some help from defense, with turnovers defense came up big - Did you think maybe not as good as we thought Thought was we did it before - know we can comeback let's go out and shock the world - at halftime we were confident bunch - Diff last year and now Growing pains new coach new system new players - close games better than record last year - need to go through tough times before good times - last years experience def helped this year - Learn to win thru losses Paying off now - sometimes have to lose some of the close ones, paying off now - Stevie Johnson Something about him - not fastest etc. but just can't cover him - knew from day one when he was on scout team together with me - Fred Jackson - says haven't accomplished anything He's inspirational leader, get us going not just with words but plays on field - whatever it takes he gets job done - great to see him get recognition this year - Fan kinship - blue collar approach - connectiuon Great City - people asked why would you want to go there - family loves it hear - team embrace blue collar - Dumb question (elephant vs donkey hitting you in face) discusstion, new iphone discussion
