Boludo Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 After his first season, I thought a lot of his picks were kind of lucky and he got into the Pro Bowl based mostly on inflated numbers. When he didn't do as well in his second season, I thought that was what we should really expect from him and didn't give any credence to the fact that he had a nagging injury. However, he is playing some BALL this season. I'm definitely eating my words regarding him (and on several other Bills topics). Kudos to Byrd for playing at such a high level. btw - that personal foul that was called against him today was total garbage. I mean, he's stuffing a receiver right at the first down line. The helmet to helmet was minimal and the receiver was turning upfield and he had to crack him hard if he wanted to stop his progress cold and prevent the first down.
DANCOCK Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 to me it looked like welker was the one who caused that helmet to helmet not Byrd. but im a homer so who cares bills won
billsfan89 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 It wasn't even ruled a helmet to helmet it was ruled as a hit on a defenseless receiver (Which it wasn't). And yeah Byrd is playing the best in that secondary (Which is playing hugely inconsistent outside of Byrd)
BuckeyeBill Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I don't even think he cracked him hard. When you have to tackle a 5'3' receiver, it's pretty hard to tackle around the waist. No way was Byrd using his helmet as a weapon. Bad call... but those things will happen.
