Just Jack Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 that we would leave to much time on the clock? I was. I was glad they spotted it at the 1, knowing the Bills could run a few non-plays to run down the clock before trying a Field Goal. BB using up his time outs made it sweeter.

I loved the fact that the crowd was actually sort of applauding when he announced it wasn't a score. Not a single boo to be heard. Good situational awareness at the Ralph.
LasBillzz Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Actually, Freddie should have intentionally iced it by stopping short, if possible. Didn't someone do that two years ago?

RayFinkle Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Actually, Freddie should have intentionally iced it by stopping short, if possible. Didn't someone do that two years ago? MJD...but I don't think their game was tied. Could be wrong...
Dark Fan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Actually, Freddie should have intentionally iced it by stopping short, if possible. Didn't someone do that two years ago? Brian Westbrook for the Eagles.
Dragonborn10 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 MJD...but I don't think their game was tied. Could be wrong... nice memory..player is correct but can't recall score and time scenario either..i think Jags were winning and he iced the game with a first down but could have scored
EastRochBillsfan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I was scared as hell. It was most defintely a blessing in disguise. The football Gods were smiling on the BIlls today!
Alaska Darin Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 As soon as it started looking like he was going to score I started yelling "Too soon! Too Soon!". Forever a heart broken BILLS fan!
HalftimeAdjustment Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Once we started running out the clock, I became worried that the FG try would be BLOCKED!
EldaBillsFan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Maurice Jones Drew did it....broke for a big run and took a knee at the one....I think its different tho...no was close to drew he had plenty of time to think about it...whiles Fred had two people on his heels
Alaska Darin Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Once we started running out the clock, I became worried that the FG try would be BLOCKED! Not me. I was all about the fumbled snap returned for a TD.
Big Turk Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I was screaming at the TV after it was determined he was short of the goalline to kneel down 3 times because the Pats only had 2 timeouts left...glad to see Gailey knew it to, because Jauron certainly wouldn't have...
Repulsif Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Feelings : YEEEEEESSS !!!! What ? No ! Wait ... now they can ice it ! Still fearing what I call The Boulette.
Jon in Pasadena Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Lost my stream during the review Age will do that to you. Oh, wait, maybe you meant your internet stream.
stevestojan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I dont live in WNY so I don't get the audio of the game as I was at a chain restaurant watching the game(which means all the games on TV but only the audio of the giants game) but I assumed that's why bellichek was arguing with the ref after freddies run. I think he was arguing FOR the TD
Giaimo25 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Age will do that to you. Oh, wait, maybe you meant your internet stream. Hahaha. I laughed out loud on that one

[/quote} Chan "out-Belichicked Belichick" on that last drive.
Mark Vader Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I was a bit worried when I saw how much time there was. At the same time I was thrilled for what Freddy did on that play. I was nervous every time Fitz took a knee. I was furious when the Bills had a false start on one of the kneel down plays. But all was forgotten when Lindell split the uprights.

Exactly, thank God he didn't score! End of the game was most epic!
