808 Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 5or 6th overall pick from 2 years ago already demoted. sounds like.....may....ma.......maybin.
Doc Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 He was the 4th overall pick in the 2009 draft and many considered him the safest pick in that draft. Oh well.
Fixxxer Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 link? The Seahawks haven’t gotten the kind of play they expected when they made Aaron Curry the fourth overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft so they are giving someone else a chance. Curry has been demoted to the second team and rookie K.J. Wright will take his place as a starting outside linebacker. Curry has been a starter since arriving in Seattle after a decorated career at Wake Forest, but he has never been particularly impressive at the professional level. In 32 career games, Curry has recorded 123 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He had his only NFL interception in last season’s playoff loss to the Bears. Eric Williams of the Tacoma News-Tribune got Curry’s thoughts on the move. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/22/aaron-curry-is-headed-to-the-bench/
deep2evans Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 i'm blown away. he was considered a sure fire stud.
deep2evans Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 wow. what a cluster!@#$ the 2009 draft was. Before the Bills took Maybin at #11, there's only one guy (Raji at #9) who's lived up to his draft billing. Obviously Matt Stafford is coming on strong now, but until 2 weeks ago it was iffy. Then after Maybin, you have 5 pro-bowlers in the next 14 picks, NOT including Oher, Josh Freeman, and Jeremy Maclin. unreal lol. nfl scouts suck.
starrymessenger Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 He was supposed to be nothing less than Patrick Willis. Seriously.

So anyways, we have the" link?" comment, AND the "I've heard of him" comment… but we're still missing the "git er done!" comment. C'mon… you guys are slipping.
reddogblitz Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Seattle's draft record is about as bad as ours. Curry is a bust. 2010 #4 pick Russell Okung can't get on the field. Most of their other high picks are traded or out right gone. The one shining light for them drafting though is Earl Thomas. Excellent safety taken in the first round in 2010 (they had 2 first round picks).
dpberr Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Curry should never have been at OLB. Coming out of WF, his skill set was suited solely for ILB. Play him there and he's better.
Cotton Fitzsimmons Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 YE OLE recalls Curry being a big time player out of Wake Forest, but has he done much in the NFL?
