Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Everett Ralph Wilson is cheap and a horrible owner! There must have been a write-off involved in this.
Albany,n.y. Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Kudos to Ralph. I hope Kevin's doing okay these days Ok, but not great. There was a recent article on him & he still has physical effects from the injury that will never get him to 100%: http://www.buffalonews.com/spotlight/article550571.ece
Doc Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Ok, but not great. There was a recent article on him & he still has physical effects from the injury that will never get him to 100%: http://www.buffalonews.com/spotlight/article550571.ece Better than being paralyzed, but not better than never having been injured to begin with.

Got to be rough on him and his family...
apuszczalowski Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Ralph was probably just too cheap to use up the ink in his pen to sign his termination papers, or he was too cheap to pay for that electricity used by his paper shreader to cut up his contract. Ralph is cheap!
Big Turk Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 He is never gonna really be back to normal...most people would have never walked again after that...ironically the only reason he is walking is because of an experimental treatment UB was pioneering along with some of the hospitals in the area to keep the whole body cold to which Ralph Wilson had donated a million dollars for research funding....talk about your money being put to good use...one of his players can still walk today in part due to the money Wilsom gave so they could develop iy

Bflojohn Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 God Bless Ralph Wilson, because he kept Kevin from a miserable life of wheelchairs, constant nursing, being unable to feed himself, and a host of things we ALL take for granted!
aristocrat Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I hope he gets well but for him one thing that should be some comfort to him is that his disability pension will make sure he and his family will never be without. He gets between 250k-300k per year for life which could be more than he ever would have made in the league. Health is first and foremost but his family will be ok which perhaps could help him mentally get over his physical disability.
BuffaloBud Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 God bless Kevin and Ralph. Thank you - well said.
