When only the brightest took the SATs, because most kids had possible careers where college was not required, SATs were higher. Now tons of kids are trying to go to school--tons of kids means dumber kids are taking the SATs. Scores go down. Not really surprising. Someone's filling classrooms at Temple and Buff State.
