benderbender Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 If no one in the front office thought Evans was worth the money, why would we go for an older Housh?
H2o Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 As much as people keep avoiding the obvious, TO is clearly the best WR available. T.O. and Stevie would be a productive combo IMO. I'd be all for it. He and Fitz had a good thing going a couple of years ago with the on-field chemistry.
truth on hold Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 T.O. and Stevie would be a productive combo IMO. I'd be all for it. He and Fitz had a good thing going a couple of years ago with the on-field chemistry. I'd they're serious about winning now they have to consider it. What is the vet minimum they'd have to pay him?
clancynut Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 As much as people keep avoiding the obvious, TO is clearly the best WR available. See Below. Is TO even healthy enough to play right now? Based on an article in USA Today stating he is in South Korea receiving stem cell therapy to his surgically repaired ACL, I would say no he is not. My link
The Senator Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Martin has dropped passes all pre-season and reg season. You sure you got the right Martin? (Ruvell Martin was signed 8/24, didn't play that weekend, had 2 receptions and made a key play on special teams in the ONE game he played - the 9/1 pre-season game against Detroit - then got cut before the KC game)
clancynut Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Moss? I would go with TJ Housh over Moss or TO(when he is healthy). I think the last thing this WR corps needs is a prima donna to disrupt chemistry.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I think we go with Roosevelt, who will be a perfect fit for this offense. We need guys who are smart, run good short to intermediate routes, and catch balls. I think NR fits the bill.
The Senator Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 (edited) What, no love for Martin? I'll chime in... Dude got thrown in the deep end of the pool late in the Raiders game after Stevie pulled up lame and Roscoe left with an injury. Prior to that, was jerked around a bit by the Bills - signed 8/24, supposedly made the final cut, then released the next day to make room for Sam Young, then brought back on 9/13 after Easley went on IR - so I doubt he's had much practice running routes, getting timing down, etc. Guy's got good size (6'4"/220) - much bigger than Parrish or Roosevelt. I think he'll contribute. (With Urbik out for 4 weeks, the Bills should be combing the waiver wires, practice squads, and available free agents to bolster the interior o-line. I'm much more concerned about what we do if one of our starting guards gets hurt - activate Michael Jasper?) GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to be undefeated." - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!! BillsObserver Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Moss wouldn't come to Buffalo nor would he fit in this offense.
rayray808 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 No moss... No Housh... No Owens Why not go Chris Chambers and have ridiculous size underneath routes with Chambers, Chandler, Martin and Nelson?
Beerball Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Chan said he was good on ST, and that was the reason they brought him back... It was on a video, press conference thingie, I can probably find it if you want. He may bring something to the table for ST, but he can't catch the clap.
Bufcomments Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 If T.O. was healthy maybe... Fitz and T.O and Stevie would be hard to stop. I like Roosie over T.O. at this point.
nonprophet Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I would have liked to see them elevate Aiken over Roosevelt. More upside and Chan is not afraid to take risks. I think that Roosevelt got the nod because he's performed in real games last season.
