Jdragon2 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Filed to ESPN.com: Bills WR Roscoe Parrish will miss the remainder of the 2011 season with an ankle injury, according to a league source.
Chandler#81 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 It's likely broke. Chan couldn't deny it when asked. Waiver wire, here we come.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Filed to ESPN.com: Bills WR Roscoe Parrish will miss the remainder of the 2011 season with an ankle injury, according to a league source. It's the dreaded curse of #11!!!
Thunderstealer Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 That's a real blow to special teams without having that decisive sure handed returner.
John from Riverside Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Well....I think that spells the end for Roscoe. I sure would like to see them bring up Naman to fill that spot.
EastRochBillsfan Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Man that really sucks. I was hoping we finally were going to see what he could do playing for the whole year. Is it possible he's played his last snap in Buffalo?(I think you're right John from Hemet) I love the guy but how many chances do you give a guy at the expense of someone who may be able to stay on the field? And who do we sign now? Roosevelt? Aiken?...I'm not too impressed with that Ruvell guy either, they should just let him go. I think he dropped all 3 or 4 passes his way Sunday.
Doc Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 It's a shame. He had talent, but couldn't stay healthy. Thanks at least for the great punt returning earlier in your career, Roscoe!
Heitz Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 from the Bills Twitter feed: "#Bills 2day promoted WR Naaman Roosevelt 2 the 53-man roster from the practice squad. WR Roscoe Parrish has been placed on Injured Reserve." Good for Naaman, bummer for 'scoe
JPS Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Never gave us more than a glimpse. He was kinda like Jeff Nixon. I'd say that we'll miss him, but he was rarely here. Next man up.
Alaska Darin Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I sure hope we're done with the idea of a contract extension. It makes no sense to sign a little man who is rarely healthy and on the wrong side of 30.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Wow - McGee and Parrish each lasted about 2 plays this season...
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Never gave us more than a glimpse. He was kinda like Jeff Nixon. I'd say that we'll miss him, but he was rarely here. Next man up. JPS I was trying to figure out how to express my feelings concerning the loss, yet again, of Roscoe. However, you did a beautiful job by doing so above. It is so hard for me with this guy whom I have been behind since the start of his career. We will miss him this year, but even that is tough to determine as it is not like he caught 80 balls for us a couple of year in a row and then just started getting injured.
mattsox Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Wow - McGee and Parrish each lasted about 2 plays this season... Yep sounds about right. Both those guys have become utterly useless
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 BTW, it just wouldn't be the Buffalo Bills if we were not stock piling guys (3 so far this year) on injured reserves. ...guys, this has to stop. I mean really, really. Yes, it is the NFL, but does anyone ever remember such activity with IRs with this franchise back in the Kelly days like we have seen in the last 4 years?
eball Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Buffalo's native darling is back on the 53-man roster. Naaman, make it count, brother.
BillsObserver Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Too injury prone. Done hyping the guy up and then making excuses for him. Finding another Roscoe Parrish won't be hard...
benderbender Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 When he was our Devin Hester he had so much potential. But when he wanted to be a WR he turned into a injury prone version of Ted Ginn.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Wow - McGee and Parrish each lasted about 2 plays this season... Sadly, you're not even exaggerating. It was literally like 2 plays.
Big Turk Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I think the chiefs have a far worse IR list than us...their three best players Berry, Charles and Moeaki all out for the year...
