Keuka Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Here's your chance to predict how Chan will use Brad this week. I think we will see a variation on something they did in the pre-season. Smith lines up as a WR on the left side. Runs and end around for a hand off from Fitz, then passes to Spiller or Parrish. You gotta shake things up and set up the Pats for next week.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Good thread! I think we will see the Brad Smith trickery in week#3 as Billicheat has struggled to defend the wild-cat in the past. IMO a good strategy is to play vanilla with brad-smith and then throw the kitchen sink at the pats as they have little film on Chans grand scheme with him.
The Cincinnati Kid Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I think if we get up on the raiders we should run a few trick plays with him so that Bellicheck stays up worrying about how we might use him against them instead of worrying about our other weapons. He is just as useful as a decoy, maybe more useful.
CSBill Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) He lines up in the deep back (?) position on a punt, I think he gets the direct snap and goes for a first down this week. Edited September 17, 2011 by CSBill
Rockinon Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Brad Smith takes the snap, 3 step drop hits (pick name)______________________ in the flat for a quick strike. Every Play he has done so far he has run out side of the pocket. This catches the defense with their pants down because no one thinks he will do this.

IMO a good strategy is to play vanilla with brad-smith and then throw the kitchen sink at the pats as they have little film on Chans grand scheme with him. this might be the wisest thing to do. I would like to see him either, catch an easy pass or throw the same for a completion. Let him develop confidence for the Patriots. but not show our hand just yet. Pass play to spiller or Parrish out of the cat would make my day though. To the OP, you are one week early. : ) Edited September 17, 2011 by 3rdand12
Doc Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I also think he'll be used the same way, i.e. short yardage to get the FD, and in garbage time () he'll throw passes.
coastalpika Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I think we are going to see Brad Smith make a deep pass for a TD tomorrow. Hopefully they bite and play the run against him when they are in the wildcat formation.
boyst Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Brad Smith is on kickoff return, catches the ball, runs to midfield, throws the ball to sideline where Roscoe is waiting to run it in for a TD. Too soon?

Gibran Chandan Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Brad Smith trick play of the week: Getting out of the negative points in fantasy stats. I really, really, really want to see this guy develop into a slick weapon for the Bills, but after week one, I'm not so sure.
/dev/null Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 4 WR set No QB Smith and Fred Jackson lined up like in a Pro Form Snap to Freddie, quick out to Smith Wouldn't be surprised if Smith doesn't see the field either. Chan might be saving any trickeration for next week against the Pats*

Is that because he did bad job of running for first downs on every chance he had?
Bills!Win! Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 MY PREDICTION**** The Bills lead 17-10 in the 4th quarter and Brad Smith lines up in wild cat as it's 4th and 1. Brad Smith takes the snap and punts it, pinning the Raiders inside their 10.
thebug Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Just keep getting 1st downs when we bring him in on 3rd down.
