Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 For me it would have to be Shawshank Redemption.
Mark Vader Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I have too many favorites that I just can not possibly choose only one. Sorry.
Wooderson Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I have too many favorites that I just can not possibly choose only one. Sorry. I agree. I could probably do 5 favorites but idk if I could choose just one. -Rear Window -Dazed and Confused -Dial M for Murder -Dr. Strangelove -Casablanca -Night of the Living Dead -Animal House -Spirited Away -LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring -A Clockwork Orange Ok, maybe I can't even do a top 5 but these are all very enjoyable to me.
Chandler#81 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I'm guessing very few people would have a favorite movie of all time! For most folks, there's likely a favorite per genre -ie: Drama, Comedy, Action, War, western, etc..

LabattBlue Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Godfather or Godfather Part II??? Hmmm... Godfather Part II
bartshan-83 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Point Break Well, lucky you! http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/09/12/point-blank-reboo/ I've heard it's going to be about 'extreme sports' instead of surfing though. The remake train keeps on chugging!
Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Ok then lets change it to favorite movies. Feel free to list as many as you want
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Well, lucky you! http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/09/12/point-blank-reboo/ I've heard it's going to be about 'extreme sports' instead of surfing though. The remake train keeps on chugging! For real? That's sad. The surfing element was key to that movie. (Also, who can forget the insane scene of Keanu Reeves jumping out of the plane w/o a chute to catch Patrick Swayze in mid-air--awesome!!)
The Poojer Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Yer in luck...they are remaking this cinematic bit of gold Point Break

DDD Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Tough question to answer. All I'll say is whenever Goodfellas is on cable, I've gotta watch.
Jauronimo Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I have to go with Dark Knight. Its not the best movie I've ever seen but for a handful of reasons its my fave.
ajzepp Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 My current top 3: 3) Braveheart 2) Swingers 1) Life is Beautiful
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Snatch Shawshank Redemption True Romance Goodfellas Bronx Tale The Dark Night The Usual Suspects There are way to many to name....
UConn James Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) For me it would have to be Shawshank Redemption. That's probably mine as well. For a special reason vis-a-vis Stephen King's choice of names. As good as the novella was, Darabont brought it to life so faithfully. And you can name others all you want, this is the one that put Morgan Freeman on the A-list. Great story, great acting, great blend-in of the soundtrack; all great movies/series need these, very few have them all. But I would say that "North by Northwest" is close.
