aussiebills Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Look i am bills fan but im not if it will be a blowout Running games look similar, decent back with an ok back-up O-lines are both avgereage or below D-lines are both in top 10 in the league Both have pass rushing LB's Both have a suspect LB Where the bills will win this game is in the passing game Fitzpatrick or Campbell Fitz makes quick reads, can use his feet to get out of trouble, can sling it but a little bit inaccurate Campbell is old, slow, maybe a better passer if he is able to have A LOT of time in the pocket If the Bills D-line can get any inkling of a pass rush, i think he will throw up some ducks For the Bills to win this they have to do exactly what we needed to do to KC STOP THE RUN make them pass, so what if they get Boss back Bills 31 Raiders 28
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 - The SINGLE most glaring advantage the Bills have in this game......is playing at home, on a short week w/ a long travel for the Raiders.Period. after that, pretty much everything is a wash with the pass D favoring the Bills... The D Line favoring the Raiders. Running game obviously favoring the Raiders. QB goes to the Bills.. But I will say this... Fitz has not even put together a whole season. So, while I respect the short resume he has put together, he isn't really striking fear in me as a fan..personally. So I expect the Raiders to really get at him and try to rattle him to test his mettle. All in all.... I say the Raiders lose because they never follow up a win when they have to travel long d the next week. But Bills fans that think this is going to be a blowout or won by 2 TD's or more are slightly deluded and will probably be brought back down to earth this coming Sunday. I would say this is a fair analysis. Based on last year's evidence, both DL and OL favor the Raiders. Bills theoretically much improved on both lines, how much remains to be proven on the field RB - FJ is a good back and used to operating without a lot of help from his line. Bills weren't a running team last year 'cuz they were always behind, sometimes way behind. QB - if we give Campbell lots of time, it's clear he can burn us. Fitz has a demonstrated ability to make stuff happen without time, or much of a line - he will also make tremendous boners in the same scenario as he tries too hard to make stuff go. I think a lot hangs on the coaching and the game plan, myself. If the Raiders game plan for last year's Bills like KC did, they're toast. Overall, good call that it ought to be a tough, tight game. Naturally I give it to the Bills, that would be on the basis of having more D this season and coaching/Fitz. Thing is, the Raidersdude who thinks it's gonna be a blowout with the Raiders running the ball up and down the field and Campbell picking us apart - I think his reality check bounced, too, unless somehow a whole bunch of Bills D go out with injuries. Then it could happen. We're thin on depth, lose Dareus, lose Barnett, lose LightsOut, it's trouble.

Close game indeed.
Alaska Darin Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 JMO I think Raiders passing offense will be alot more consistant and explosive than it was last year. Yeah, those are the two words I think of when Jason Campbell's name comes up. Consistent and explosive.
Rico Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Yeah, those are the two words I think of when Jason Campbell's name comes up. Consistent and explosive. Lol I think of chump and loser. Too bad, Raiders could be nice if they only had a QB. Home team wins this Sunday.
Raiderjoe Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 That is a video of the Boss on a Giants team, being thrown to by Eli Manning. Sunday will be the Boss coming off an injury with Campbell tossing him the ball. Not sure the two scenarios are the same. We shall see. Okay believe that if you want but I want you to look at The TE numbers where ever Jason Campbell was the QB in the NFl. The Te going to put up some big numbers. With Boss 6'6 255 back expect to see all four of the Raiders Tes activated this week and alot of two Te formations in this game. Raiders have so many options here. You can Team Boss 6'6 255( equally effective blocking as well as recieving) with anyone of these Tes. Brandon Myers 6'4 250- most experience but average blocker and receiver(zach Miller speed) and the Two rookies with a world of potential. David Ausberry 6'4 245 4.47 (converted WR ) is probably the most dangerous receiving threat they have at TE and Richard Gordon 6'4 265 4.64 dominating blocker but a raw reciever with world of potential as a reciever. OT Bruce campbell 6'7 315 4.79 could be used as extra blocking TE. Against the Broncos Raiders would have blown out the Broncos if they scored more TDs in the redzone, and not settle for Fieldgoals. With 6'6 Boss back . Chaz Schilens 6'4 225 Raiders have so much size they can put out there that they should be able to run it in or throw it up there and let those guys go get it.
Raiderjoe Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 (edited) Other advantages for the Bills: - A sellout Home Opener will be charged up, especially after that 1st week blowout - Short week of practice for the Raiders and a trip across the country - Start of game @1p.m making it a 10 A.M start for the WC Campbell can throw the deep ball, but at the same time can be rattled with some pressure. Close game indeed. That isn't a very accurate assesment of Jason campbell. Jason Campbell biggest thing he must work on his deep ball. (not very good at it) He either severly underthrows it, overthrows it or throws it out of bounds) Thats not good when your Qb of the Raiders and they possess the fastest wr corp in the game. For this reason He might have a big shot to make a big play down the field and he will go somewhere else. (lacks confidence in his deep ball) The Top Qbs don't miss those throws when Wr clearly has a couple steps. Jason campbell throws the short(reason Raiders are so great a screen team) and the intermediate passes very well. Thats just silly show me one NFL qb that dosen't get rattled by pressure. Have you seen T Brady when Pressure getting to him. I think this trip across country would have been more effective if this was later in the season than in week two. Raiders under Hue Jackson have changed the practice time for that week to the time they will be playing that game. Like against the Broncos raiders practiced at night, this week they are practicing at 10:00 AM (Westcoast time) . When they will be playing the game in Buffalo. kind of smart if you ask me. So Raider players are building up a routine to be ready to play at that time. From getting up earlier to playing earlier than they are used to. Edited September 15, 2011 by Raiderjoe
The Senator Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Starting with the Beating the Raiders gave the chiefs in arrowhead to end the season. They were blown out by Ravens in playoffs in arrowhead and Got humiliated again at home by The bills. So what exactly did you do again. Bad news for the Bills Te Kevin Boss will be back this week. Not only is he a very good inline blocker he probably a bigger threat down the field than Zach Miler ever was. Are you Ready???? youtube.com/watch?v=WxWOUUMcsX4 youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=HY86DeqhB3U Dude, dude, delusional dude... FYI, the Bills passed over both of your super-star TEs - Boss AND Miller - in free agency because we signed a bigger and better TE off waivers late last season. Here's what a future superstar TE looks like... Link - Scott Chandler’s day is a revelation for Bills (Boston Herald) But thanks for the 2008 hi-lite film from Boss's Pro Bowl season 3 years ago - he looked pretty good back then. I'm looking forward to seeing him limp back into action this Sunday - I suspect his play will be a factor in the Bills' win... Buffalo Bills 53 ChokeLand Raiders 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!

You do know Haley fired Gailey in 2008 . Both guys are offense guys. So working with haley in the past he isn't aware what he likes to do on offense formations etc. Why Bellichik owned bill parcels te3ams. LEts see the diffrence is BOss who goes 6'6 255 with very good speed has done it at the NFL for years now while Scott Chandler has one good game to his credit. (Is that a fair assessment) The Raiders young Te's I talk about not only have that great size but they have speed to burn also. You do know the diffrence betyween 4.47 speed, and 4.64 speed to 4.85 speed. That great size might fool a team once as your not accountinmg for that player but let see when defense is aware of him. Q Groves6'3 265 4.4 something speed is one of the worst LB and I would feel comfortable leaving him all day on the slow footed S Chandler. Heck Trevor Scott 6'5 255 who strictly a pass rushing specialist , i wouldn't have a problem with him picking up Chandler all day either. Reason BIg time tes are so effective is they are too fast for LBs and Safeties and too big (size wise ) for Cb's to handle. When you aren't faster than the lb it kind of takes away the advantage somewhat. Edited September 15, 2011 by Raiderjoe

(I believe that's the same # of sacks allowed by both the Raiders and the Ravens last Sunday, no? ) The Bills O-line is just fine, as you'll see this Sunday when Fitzpatrick carves up the Raiders secondary for 400 yards and 5 TDs - and probably another 2 TDs for TE Scott Chandler - while Fred Jackson breaks thru into the open field all afternoon. (And the Bills have future All Pro swing tackle Chris Hairston waiting in the wings - so no need to go out and sign aging, slow, high-priced, fat guys like McKinnie or Walker.) The O-line you need to worry about is the one that will have Jason Campbell wondering why he's seeing stars at one o-clock in the afternoon - as he stares up at the Orchard Park sky from his supine position on the carpet of Ralph Wilson Stadium. Thanks for the Raiders discussion going into the week, any word on their other injuries (Jacoby Ford, Richard Seymour, Darren McFadden)? Thanks. Boss is defintely a better blocker than zach Miller and bigger threat down the field(he way faster than Z Miller) . Miller was better reciever now was that because Miller was only option for many years with the raiders, while the giants had alot of options at WR that Boss was the third or fourth option in the offense. JMo this is just a guess I think we won't see jacoby Ford( Stupid to rush a guy that relies on his legs, back until his hammy is 100%) M Huff ( 50 - 50) if he plays . S Mike Mitchell is out( guy they use in big Nickel who plays LB/ safety role) that falls on Jerome Boyd. WR Louis Murphy probably back next week against Jets. Unless both have a setback I don't see either R seymour or Mcfadden missing this game. Raiders just aren't going to wear either out in practice and want them two to be healthy for the games.(both are key players)

You missed the point Raiders weakness for years(getting better now) has been the oline. The future looks alot more promising there than on Bils oline. You don't think its strange a team would be raiding a team with a lousy oline (couldn't cut it with that team with a bad oline) I would think you would target teams with good Oline when there players are cut. Yes Raiders signed langston walker back and he was a big part of them having the second rushing attack in football but sruggling in pass protection. Raiders would have taken him back if he would have played inside. Bills asked a guy who feet isn't good against speed rushers at Rt to play LT(That stupid). Eric Pears is garbage and you know it. Anyone can have one good game in their career. Lets see if you say that after 16 games. You can say Fitzpatatrick going to throw for 600 yards, Your RB going to get 200 yards and You defense going to get eighgt sacks. It really dosen't mean much as yourt just going to have alot of egg on your face if those things don't happen. Thats the only quality he has. So yes I would be comfortable leaving lbs(thats aren't even good ) on him because he a one trick poney. Not all the Bills weapons. JMO lets see what Chandler does this game and for the season but i just think Bills expectation are unrealistic for him. Edited September 15, 2011 by Raiderjoe

You make like Kevin Boss was out of the league the last couple years. 15.5 yards per reception is something thats not impressive.
Dorkington Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 RaiderJoe, why are you so obsessed with height, weight and 40 yard times?
Jauronimo Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 You make like Kevin Boss was out of the league the last couple years. 15.5 yards per reception is something thats not impressive. Que? I makes like Kevin Boss hasn't played a down this year due to injury. I'm glad you're confident in a guy coming back from injury who hasn't fully participated in a practice after sustaining said injury. He may have a fine season, but his effectiveness this Sunday is certainly in doubt. And yes, I could care less about his production with the Giants, who actually have a viable passing game.
