sir andrew Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Alright. Am I the only person who is wondering what happened to good old fashioned defensive, run the ball 13-10 games. It seems like the beginning of this year especially, we have quarterbacks putting up unheard of stats. Week one and there are 12 qb's with 300+ yards. I was wondering if the lockout could account for this or is this just the way football will be played from now on. National Football League, more like National Fantasy League. Sorry for the rant, just had to get that off my chest after watching brady put up over 500 yards passing. Discuss. GO BILLS!
JPicc2114 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Tom Brady is good at throwing the football
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Let him pass. No QB who has led the league in passing yards has EVER won a SB. Take that to the bank
BuckeyeBill Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Let him pass. No QB who has led the league in passing yards has EVER won a SB. Take that to the bank Didn't Kurt Warner and the greatest show on turf do it?
eball Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I've been waiting for the thread criticizing Fitz because he only threw for just over 200 yards.
TheBlackMamba Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 yea, yea and defense and running the ball win championships....
Fingon Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I think Monday night just goes to show you how bad the Pats and Phins are at CB and S.
billsfan in n.h Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 while it is exciting to watch. the more they put it up,the more chances for an INT. let the bird man fly
playman Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 its a passing league. at least thats what the experts say.
silvermike Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 The passing record still dates from 1951. There have been other passing eras in the NFL.
Rockinon Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 The Patriots were playing a no huddle offense. Blitz baby. Get in Brady's face.
DasNootz Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 My gut says that Defensive Backfields and Offensive Lines would be the most impacted by the shortened pre-season. They don't rely on pure individual athletisism, and require the entire unit to be in harmony. Obviously, the offenses are ahead of the defenses right now.
CSBill Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 and of course, the mad geniuse running the Pats knows how to take full advantage of that
