Kelly the Dog Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 A young star WR, an extremely productive starting RB, and a very good starting QB for this team. $550K, $1.75 mil and $3.195 mil. The Bills have some tough decisions to make this year, especially how much to pay Stevie and Fitz. They longer it goes on, the more expensive it could get (that is, if they play well this year). IMO, we should take care of either Fitz or Stevie in the next month or two, plus throw a bone to Fred Jackson, if he will take it, even if he has more years to go. Maybe we shouldn't talk about this in the afterglow of such a great game, especially by all three of these guys, and just enjoy it. But we need to start to take care of the core offensive players. I'm ready to say Fitz deserves to be the starter and be paid starter money. He has a good thing going with Gailey (and I think he probably knows it so he might give a little bit of a hometown discount).
K-9 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 It's a nice problem to have. That cap room just might come in handy after all. GO BILLS!!!
John from Riverside Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 In the end the frugelness might just make sense? OMG maybe Chan knows what he is doing after all
Mike in Syracuse Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Nix is on record as saying that the Bills will pay to retain their key player. They did that with Williams. Let's be just a little bit patient and save some hysterical outrage!
