Everyone here at Two Bills Drive sends out our heartfelt condolences to Lori, who lost her stepfather on Friday to cancer. She posted her thoughts about the situation here on her blog:

Although Lori has moved on from her day to day involvement here at TBD, she was a big part of this site for many years and for that we are deeply grateful. Please keep her in your thoughts as she works her way through this difficult time.

My sympathy to Lori and her family and friends.\

We miss her and the knowledge she brings to our family.

Lori has been a good friend for many years and we have never met face to face.

My very deepest condolences on the passing of your stepdad. I know his immense character was impactful in your life and lives on in you.

May the memory of his love and warmth comfort you and your family.

SILENTLY A FLOWER BLOOMS

In silence it falls away;

Yet here now, at this moment, at this place,

The whole of the flower, the whole of the world is blooming.

This is the talk of the flower, the truth of the blossom.

The glory of eternal life is shining here.

Thanks for posting Scott. From a TBS old-timer's perspective, despite our many differences, it was and still is one big Bills' family.

Condolences Lori.

Been meaning to get over here ever since I found out about this thread, but it's been a long week, as y'all can imagine. A long year, for that matter. It hurt like hell to say goodbye, but there comes a point when all you can do is wish someone an peaceful end to their suffering.

Thanks for all of your kind words, with special thoughts to SDS, who just went through the same heartache with his own mother.

Cancer sucks.
