Mike in Syracuse Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 They just had a Gailey soundbite on WGR and he said something close to: We're not as bad as some people said we are and after this win some will put us on a pedestal and we're not there yet either. That is EXACTLY what I expected to hear from a coach who clearly knows his team and where they are.

Its nice to start the season 1 - 0!!! Liked his comment we had people who whipped people!!! Edited September 11, 2011 by bills_fan_in_raleigh

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I hope so. It seems that he's very grounded about the win. Yes, we looked great but no one saw us coming and we still have to see how we do against a top tier team. I won't brag until we beat the Pats
hondo in seattle Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 You can dissect even a game like this and find lots to improve. That's what a coach has to do - continually push the team to get better. As a fan, however, I just want to luxuriate in the afterglow until the Raiders come to town next week.

I think we have the right coaching staff and the right mix of veterans to keep the kids from getting swell-headed and losing focus after a blowout victory I hope we do anyway.

They've been getting players who want to play football, all other things aside. Veterans and rookies alike.
