Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I partied the two prior nights with a fifth of Kraken
Green Lightning Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) I watched, listened, paced and did chores to occupy my angst. When they went up 41-7, I boldly announced to my wife, "I knew they'd do we'll today." Edited September 11, 2011 by Green Lightning
hondo in seattle Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Everyone who says the Bills won because of Fitz or Freddie or the revamped defense is really missing the boat. The Bills won because I wore my Bills underwear today!
greenmohawk Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 New Bills Blue t-shirts for my daughter and me. We smoked em.
MaineMoxie Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) Let's see. The only thing different, I think, was that my wife and kids left the house halfway through the game. Hmmm... Edited September 11, 2011 by MaineMoxie
Just Jack Posted September 11, 2011 Author Posted September 11, 2011 Two Words.... Freddy Jackson And how did you affect that outcome?
DC Tom Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 New Bills Blue t-shirts for my daughter and me. We smoked em. Um...okay. Most people wear them.
mead107 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I drank lot's of beer. and went to the Flight Line with friends. NO wine.
dpberr Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I didn't wear the colors today. No Bills hat, not even a Bills t-shirt. The SO pointed out that the weekends I didn't wear the colors last year due to having to be elsewhere or doing something else besides watching the Bills in the red, white and blue....they won. It worked today.
Albillny Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I wore a brand new throwback winter Bills hat the whole game (with the air conditioner running). Now I am going to have to do that all season.
DrFishfinder Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Was in a Bass tournament and only got to see the last few minutes of the game. Apparently when I don't watch, we win. Coincidence? Probably.
Jobu Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I ran over a small family of raccoons at high speed on my way to the game. Thats going to be tough to duplicate. Especially the little one that shot up onto the lady's windshield behind me.
QB Bills Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) I rewatched the entire Monday night opener against NE from two years ago on Friday. Didn't even look away or turn it off when McLovin fumbled. I'd like to think my sacrifice pleased the football Gods. Next Friday is the Dallas Monday nighter from 2007. Pretty sure I can probably find 17 more stomach-churning defeats from recent history to help us go undefeated this year. And probably another 19 different ones next year. Pretty sure I can probably find 17 more stomach-churning defeats from recent history to us go undefeated this year. And probably another 19 different ones next year. Thank You for your sacrifice. As for me, I decided to post in the live game thread for the first time. I usually don't like to be distracted from the game but figued it couldn't hurt. If only I knew earlier it would help I would have tried it last year....but then we wouldn't have Marcell so I guess all is as it should be.
Vinny4sum Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I usually open my first beer at kick-off and today I started with water and Diet Pepsi as a sacrifice, telling the family I will only have a beer after victories!
ExWNYer Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Bringing back a popular thread, how did your actions today affect the team? Did you eat something different? Sit in a different seat? Watch the game from somewhere else? Or followed your usual routine? I did not shower or shave, stayed at home instead of going to my familys normal Sunday dinner, and wore my Bills workout shorts. I picked them in two survival pools (including TBD)...never picked them on opening day in previous survival pools.
#34fan Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 The chiefs were looking past us. Next week will tell alot about the true character of this team.
Metal Man Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 My father found an old Bills calendar of mine back home from 1994 earlier this year and it turns out it works for this year. So since January I have been using this calendar in my office and last month I wrote the opponents for this years schedule in on each weekend of the season. I'd like to think that the 2011 schedule in proximity to Bills legends is helping with their on the field performance.
Chandler#81 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Because I was given a Jim Kelly autographed NFL football last week for standing up in a wedding, and placed it on top of the TV for the game. It's staying there all year!!!! Do I win anything else -for my karma which won the game for us??
shrader Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) It always seems like the second I claim that something is my lucky jersey or hat, it immediately loses its power. So yeah, I did absolutely nothing to help the Bills win. Yeah, that's it, nothing at all. edit: But since it's a one time thing that I can't repeat on my own power, I'll mention it. I parked in a lot out here in Boston yesterday before the game and the number on the parking pass was 716. I knew we were set. Edited September 12, 2011 by shrader
