DaveinElma
Now that's what I'm talking about! http://news.yahoo.com/mich-governor-signs-48-month-welfare-limit-231915012.html from the comments- An employed guy from IL called in to a radio show the other day to described his family's financial struggles. He said he was meeting the challenge by buying generic brands, cutting out most discretionary items. But then he described someone ahead of him in line at the local grocery store buying regular brands and buying $4 a bag popcorn with food stamps. Why should I be paying struggling so, and paying taxes so that this woman can by better stuff than I can he asked? "Compassion", once the exclusive and successful domain of volunteer organizations has been high-jacked by the government and turned into an abused entitlement.
