swnybillsfan Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Offensive linemen very rarely impress coming out of college and most don't for at least a couple of years. He is young and could possibly develop into a good pickup. He did stick with Dallas when they cut down to the 53 man roster so he can't be that bad. We'll see. I am glad that the OL is adding some depth. absolutely agree with this. there are no available superstars out there right now so i am happy with our management kicking a bunch of tires to see which ones can hold some air.
eball Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Ruvell Martin Released. It's a brutal game. Just read the article on Ruvell this morning about him being eager to contribute on ST and happy he made the team.
swnybillsfan Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Ruvell Martin Released. he was kinda skinny for a tackle anyway.
AReed Deep For 7 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Ruvell the article is on ruvell martin who finally found a home.......... or not just cut per Buffalo Bills text
Beerball Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 i could see a lot of roster turnover throughout the season. if buddy feels he can add someone who could concievably be better than someone else, they will make a move. like last year, i can envision a revolving door with o-linemen coming and going in an effort to find youngsters who may have some intriguing qualities. Hopefully one of those qualities is blocking.
PS 56 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 From Notre Dame, was a fourth round pick in 2010 by Dallas. I understand he played Left Tackle. He is 6'8" 300 plus pounds. I believe he played all 4 years at Notre Dame as an offensive tackle. Have to research that.
Jauronimo Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Hopefully one of those qualities is blocking. I heard he can sing Bohemian Rhapsody perfectly with 8 billiard balls in his mouth.
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 He was a 6th round pick. Not a 4th.
buffaloaggie Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) He was rated equal to or below Kyle Callaway in last year's draft. Not expecting much. Edited September 6, 2011 by buffaloaggie
Clippers of Nfl Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Ruvell the article is on ruvell martin who finally found a home.......... or not just cut per Buffalo Bills text he had a lot of dropped balls in preseason.
eball Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 he had a lot of dropped balls in preseason. And a pair that just dropped significantly upon receiving a certain phone call.
Rockinon Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 what th ehell does this have to do with Jasper.. He's on the PS for a whole year before he will ever sniff the Bills lineup. He needs to lose about 40 more lbs' to be a OT Didn't you hear.....Jasper is practicing at RT.
jumbalaya Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 At least the Bills looked at their roster and saw what we all saw with the depth they had on the line. There is no depth, none. This guy doesn't seem to add much of anything but sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
The Senator Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Good thing we're not signing any of those aging 3X or 5X pro bowl offensive linemen that no one wants - I'd much rather have the young, inexperienced, unproven linemen that no one wants.
Rockinon Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 The Bills are covering their butts with this pickup....nothing wrong with that. At least they aren't asleep at the wheel. I like it. We go into the season with some added depth on OL.
The Senator Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 He was rated equal to or below Kyle Callaway in last year's draft... And slightly to way below the guy we just cut, Ed Wang. WTF, Buddy?
CSBill Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Was a top 5 star recruit going into ND, started 4 years for Irish. That's not saying much these days . . . have you seem them play their D 1-A schedule lately?
The Senator Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Struggled in camp, per this. Apparently cut to make room for old friend Dockery. Dockery? Why can't the Bills get players like that?
