MikeG Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Ndamukong Suh just said that the Detroit Lions don't allow their players to have Direct Deposit for their paychecks. REALLY???? this seems very strange to me... why wouldn't they? that doesn't seem safe to me... he also said he didn't know if any teams had it, but I'm hoping he's just confused and wrong. anyone have any insight on this? It baffles me...
GOBILLS78 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Fairly certain the Bills didn't in the late '90s. No idea if they do now.
K-9 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I don't know but it reminds me of a story about Chris Cooley from a few years ago. Seems he got something like a $6m bonus check and simply decided to go through the drive-thru teller at the bank to deposit it. For some reason I've liked Cooley ever since. GO BILLS!!!
High Mark Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I think that the Feds regulate how much can be moved that way(via electronic transfers etc.). Likely their paychecks are too big lol. I know you can only do 6 internet transfers per month at my bank, and when I asked them why, they told me that was the Federal maxmimum allowed. My guess is its a money laundering thing.
