Welborn9 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Practice is underway in the fieldhouse ... Michael Jasper is working w/ the offensive line hmmmmmmmm Practice is underway in the fieldhouse ... Michael Jasper is working w/ the offensive line hmmmmmmmm keep in mind Jasper is on practice squad so he likely will be on both lines for the scout team
miserable_fan Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 lol worth a try I guess... He didn't look good at DT
Acantha Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Awesome, more Bills projects. Yes. On the practice squad. How stupid can they be.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Awesome, more Bills projects. Yeah, because a monster O-lineman would suck for us, and we should totally not try it. In fact, the whole Jason Peters project was stupid, because we ended up losing him.
section122 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Awesome, more Bills projects. You do know he played on the o-line in college right?
JoeF Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Jasper is our Swiss army knife lineman....who eats Swiss Chocolates and Swiss Steak...
frogger Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 He is a good athlete, if he can get down to 340 and learn better technique who knows.
billsintaiwan Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 he played nose like an offensive guard. battled his guy, seemed oblivious to ball carrier. has a better shot as o-lineman in my opinion.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Buffalo Bills @buffalobills Buffalo Bills Practice is underway in the fieldhouse ... Michael Jasper is working w/ the offensive line. Maybe he is just filling because line has only 3 backups. Wouldn't want it to be permanent as the O-line needs to be more mobile and I think he is better suited for NT.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Awesome, more Bills projects. Seriously. The Bills need to start drafting 7th round rookies who can start immediately. And you know who isn't a project? Jimmy Clausen. That kid has HOFer all over him. Can't believe the Bills passed on him.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Maybe he is just filling because line has only 3 backups. Wouldn't want it to be permanent as the O-line needs to be more mobile and I think he is better suited for NT. Just because he is big doesn't mean he isn't / can't be mobile. I thought that was the point with this guy, was that the team was amazed at how well he moves for a big man. Technique is another issue, and if they want to see whether he can pick up necessary technique for an offensive position more quickly, I am ALL for it. Right now DL is not a need in the same way that OL is. That's a fact.
Amstel Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I would suggest perhaps they're getting him some work in case they do elevate him at some point- perhaps they plan on working him in on short yardage situations? Just a thought.....
You herd it hear last Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 running around mt jasper is quite a journey...
Speedy G Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) You do know he played on the o-line in college right? +1 was wonderin' if they would give that a shot Edited September 5, 2011 by Speedy G
Endless Ike Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 You do know he played on the o-line in college right? he played guard in college, and the bills had him at tackle...usually college players go the other way around.

Kelly the Dog Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Maybe they want to see if they can use him in short yardage as an extra TE or OT just for blocking purposes, and then cut one of the TEs. Just speculating.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I understand the 7th round opinion, but Jimmy Clausen HOFer? It was a bit of an inside joke. He loved Clausen last year and we have a little wager on him.
