NoSaint Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I know I know - another name cut..... But a vet olineman. Is he an option at guard? Didn't see him play much recently, so I don't know. Even (or especially) in a reserve role
NoSaint Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 Perhaps in a reserve role Yea I didn't see him as a big answer but perhaps a big boy that's had starter reps that might be able to bring something to that up in the air RG spot, even if coming off the bench
John from Riverside Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Whoever we bring in needs to be able to man both the backup center and guard positions We cut Hangman
High Mark Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Levitre has worked as the 3rd center. I think Urbik has played their too.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I'd assume the Bills like most teams in this league will sign very few players this week as that means you have to pay them for the entire year. If you sign them after Week #1 and cut him in Week #3, you only pay him for two weeks. Does that make the Bills cheap, no as other teams do the same. Does that mean no one get signed this week, again no. If someone is out there who you feel will start for you and play all year, you sign him. But if that player is out there, you have to ask why was he cut in the first place?
shoretalk Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 The Eagles have major offensive line problems and deep pockets so the fact that Jean-Gilles didn't make their roster is a reflection that he is another one of those linemen who have seen their better days. There is absolutely no benefit in bringing him in.
