Even if you're a Democrat,  you can't think this is good

 - Bill Maher

That's true Bill, most democrats don't think this is good.

But Marxists do.

Exactly. If The King and the rest of the PPP Marxists didn't come HERE then they'd have zero clue about the NPR stories over the past week.

Not that it matters a single iota that they're made aware of the ideological conformity in place at NPR or the insane far left commie views of their new CEO because they're too busy following the iron law of projection.

Does any serious person who has the ability to think critically listen to NPR? I don't know of anyone who enjoys NPR who doesn't mouth pump the Democratic narrative.

NPR is just fine but it shouldn't receive federal funding. The problem with truly open left leaning democratic entertainment venues is they do not survive. Specifically on radio. Not when every alphabet on the television carries the same mantra.

Hopelessly Woke NPR Places Trigger Warning on Declaration of Independence

The hopeless wokeness of tax-funded National Public Radio has been confirmed by NPR senior business editor Uri Berliner, who started shockwaves with his Free Press essay “I’ve Been at NPR for 25 Years. Here’s How We Lost America’s Trust” providing chapter and verse of how NPR had been take over fully by the left, and as a result blowing several major stories like Russiagate, the Hunter Biden laptop, and dismissing the coronavirus lab leak theory. For his whistleblowing efforts, the veteran journalist Berliner was suspended from NPR for five days before resigning…

One example of anti-American wokeness is the “editor’s note” NPR staff felt obliged to place on archived stories about its on-air reading every Independence Day of the Declaration of Independence in full, an honorable tradition apparently now consigned to the ash-heap of history.

If NPR has a problem with America’s founding documents, they should not be benefiting from American tax dollars.

It’s really that simple.

NPR Journos Suggested Reading Their Site to Prove They Are Unbiased – This Was a Grave Mistake

469cdd4a-c8a8-44c0-bc4c-528b9135c20d-105

In the continuing wake of distemper caused by the revealing Uri Berliner column, the folks at National Public Radio continue to flail in self-defense. While understandably dismayed by the accusations Berliner made, what has been apparent is that so many at this news outlet operate in a deep level of delusion. They seem resistant to introspection on the matter, and their denials are amusingly empty; they are in an echo chamber and incapable of even finding the door.

Many of the rebuttals offered by the NPR journalists have run in one of two ways, and frequently both. One is to focus on the subject of diversity and DEI — a topic broached by Berliner — and then declare the pride they have in the racial and gender construct at NPR. This is pure deflection, as Berliner was not critical of the efforts in this category but used it to underscore the lack of diversity at NPR editorially. He noted that in the editors' ranks, there are 87 registered Democrats and zero Republicans to be found. That reality has gone largely unaddressed.

I doubt this will surprise anyone, but it's well worth cataloguing.

NPR Cheers Pro-Hamas Campus Agitators

National Public Radio’s coverage of the anti-Israel agitators who’ve taken over progressive college campuses while spouting violent rhetoric at Jewish students has been no better than its tax-funded partner PBS (both outlets reside under the taxpayer-supported auspices of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.)

NPR’s Friday coverage flattered the protesters, suggesting they were laser-focused on concrete demands that their respective colleges cease financing Israel, while ignoring their vocal support for Hamas terrorists, demonstrated by praising the October 7 massacre of Israelis and reciting eliminationist chants like “From the river to the sea.”

Friday’s Morning Edition program aired “Protests against the war in Gaza intensify at Columbia and other universities” without a single mention of the despicable rhetoric from the protests, nothing about the ongoing anti-Semitic ranting and toddler-like tactics when confronted by police, only enthusiasm for the alleged success of the protests.

Here’s your tax dollars at work, producing bias by omission[.]

'Here's One Big Reason' the CEO of NPR Declined to Testify at Today's Bias Hearing

The House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee is holding a hearing today titled “Examining Accusations of Ideological Bias at NPR, a Taxpayer-Funded News Entity.

”NPR's CEO declined to appear at the hearing about bias in the media operation she runs:

A spokesperson for NPR confirmed to Fox News Digital that Maher would not be appearing as requested before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, citing an all-day meeting with the organization's board of directors.

Why did Maher decline to appear at a hearing about bias at NPR (that gained steam with former editor Uri Berliner's recent article)? The top answer couldn't be more clear, as Joe Concha pointed out:

Another "big reason" might be that she's only been CEO for 2 months???  Nah, let's just put on the tin foil hats instead, and claim it's because she supports a political party, like most Americans do.  I'm sure twitchy and Joe Concha have no bias of their own either/  LOL

If you believe perhaps she just needs more time to settle in why do you think she cited a meeting as her reason for not attending rather than “I need more time to settle in”? LOL

Because she knows the people who wanted to ask her questions are very unserious partisan hacks putting on political theater instead of legislating?  I'm not defending NPR, because it does have a left slant, but the idea that politics plays into every single persons decisions at their government jobs is deep state bs.  NO ONE is more partisan than a House Committe right now, so it's like the giant pot calling a little kettle black.  Their version of lawfare is lucky it gets any response at all.

This lady should have to explain her public comments, comments that even most of the lefties here would classify as extreme, if she is going to lead a taxpayer funded organization.

We tried that with Supreme Court nominees, and it didn't work.  I'd worry about that a lot more than I would someone running a partially govt funded media source.  If it were Congress job to vet someone for that position, it might be different.  Otherwise, maybe they should wait until she is actually accused of something.  Can't wait to do that though, because they might lose their right to run the carnival in 6 months.
