Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2007/07/26/posluszny_signs_rookie_contrac.aspx I'd say he is roughly ten times more comfortable with $45 mil...
High Mark Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Their weather is also nicer, much more comfortable. And that no state taxes thing is nice.
Bob in STL Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Paul Posluszny says he feels much more comfortable in the Jaguars' defense than he did last season in Buffalo. Very happy to hear Poz is comfy. Like the Pink Floyd song: " Momma's gonna keep Poz Cozy and Warm" Edited August 31, 2011 by Bob in STL
BillyBaroo Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 of course he's more comfortable - he's not hurt yet!
dave mcbride Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) I find it funny he said he was more comfortable his first few years vs last year. That's probably because he played more than half his first few years in his recliner on Sundays. He couldn't stay healthy at all. It was not a suprise he couldn't cover. We knew that before last season. He will be exploited this season out of the backfield trying to cover RBs. He will always get a ton of tackles, that's what he is but they will always be 5+ yards downfield. He made one good play the other night with that goal line stuff. Other than that, any okay he made was downfield just like he was here. He got exploited the very first play of the game against Chandler and then against Freddy. Way to go Poz, you got your dream paycheck. Now you can play half your games on the couch with the Jags too. Actually, he had a very good year in 2009. More generally, the stupid catcalls on display here are depressing. That was a good, interesting article in which Poz addressed substantive issues with some detail. I know this flies in the face of conventional wisdom here, but for a certain type of defense, he's a good player. He played well in coverage in 09 and was among the league leaders in stuffs (tackles at or behind the LOS). He didn't have a good year last year, but there were reasons for this which are addressed pretty forthrightly in the full article that Kuharsky linked to (http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/429812/tania-ganguli/2011-08-30/paul-posluszny-defense-his-pass-coverage-ability ). But continue the lame sarcasm ... Edited August 31, 2011 by dave mcbride
