The Senator Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Nice hard-fought win! Tune in again next week for another 4-hour episode of The Mike Carey Show
Mark Vader Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Loved how the first team played tonight. Plenty of positives.
QB Bills Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I like this Elzy fellow too. He reminds me of Lynch.
Marshawn's 20 bucks Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 After last week when the Broncos looked like they were really into it and fired up and the Bills looked flat, it's nice to see that they showed some pluck this week and went for the win even when the only meaning to the game is pride.
bobinaz Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Very impressed with starting units on both sides of the ball. Looks like Bell should keep his job at LT.
jj____ Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Da'norris Searcy has had a good game. cause he picked off blaine gabbert?
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Yah baby. I realize he wasn't playing against anyone but Hairston looks very good. He had an excellent feel for the combination blocks, got to the outside on fire screens and to the 2nd level on run plays effortlessly… He sinks his hips and plays low real well (like Peters did) and he has nice wingspan. I'm very pleased. The Bills linebacking in the second half was mixed but Kirk Morrison didn't play and neither did Kelvin Sheppard or Chris White. I didn't see Moats play either so we were definitely down to our 3rd stringers playing LB in the second half. After the week that was, this game was encouraging enough for me to pin my hopes back up for awhile. Fitzy was nearly flawless, the O-line played real well, Easley had a real nice game, Spiller played his role well, and the 1st defense looked generally strong. The young depth got lots of playing time which was a bonus and there were no major injuries. One of my big concerns is that without Merriman, I think we'll be deficient in rushing the quarterback… we'll get good push on the pocket but not much edge pressure. I really hope he makes it back to near 100%.
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Prediction: The Bills look sloppy and everyone freaks out. Chan chuckles to himself that things never really change. By week one half of the people on this board can't even remember that this game took place. MMMMMMMM The great taste of crow...........
saundena Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 (edited) Patriettes* losing to Detroit 34-10 Should be a good test for us next week because we play the Lions! I watched the Pats*/Lions game, and the Lions look real good. Their D line will be a great test for our O line. Detroit will be the NFC team that I root for this year. DerekJ Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Nice morale boost. Bills were gettin' Thiggy with it for a while there. Sorry....couldn't help myself.
devldog131 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Well, Sol W calls them the Beeels No, he calls them the Bee owes.

bills44 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Bills offense went downhill when they took out Jackson. When Spiller came in it was their first possession w/o scoring after scoring on first three. They REALLY need to figure out what they're doing with this guy. He's not been a factor and involved very little Holy ****...we get it - you don't like Spiller. Give it a rest.
ChasBB Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 For the record, I actually liked what I saw out of Spiller tonight. He hit holes decisively and did a lot more north-south style running -- good to see.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Spiller averaged over 5 per carry, I don't see how you can blame him for the dropoff. Gailey was spreading the defense and throwing it a lot tonight.
