RunTheBall Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Diehard fans? A bit of a stretch... I know Browns fans have a reputation for being very loyal. This writer must have been struggling with a deadline or something because when your stadium is less than half filled, I don't think you can wax poetic about how great your fans are to get out in the cold. Come to Buffalo in the winter when there's nothing left to play for and the stadium is full if you want to discuss fans coming out in bad weather. RunTheBall
Tux of Borg Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 That's one of the great things about Buffalo. When our team is doing poorly, people still come out to support the team. Can't say the same for other teams in the league.
gantrules Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Right.......if we put up the figures that Cleveland has I doubt we'd get much more than they did this week.
BillsNYC Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Right.......if we put up the figures that Cleveland has I doubt we'd get much more than they did this week. 168614 I went to several games during the 3-13 season....the stadium was at least 70% for the games.
gantrules Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Late in the season with the weather being what it was yeterday? I googled the stats but couldn't find any figures.
Dan Gross Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 I went to several games during the 3-13 season....the stadium was at least 70% for the games. 168638 My last game at the Ralph was the Patriots game. I was given one ticket, bought the other from a scalper for $20, and sat right in front of my in-laws (Season ticket holders since the Rockpile days, visitor's side ~35 yard line, ~ row 20. That said, I still think it was more than half full...
taterhill Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Takeo's last game in Cincy at the Ralph....lucky if there were 50K there... we have had several late season 40K crowds in 2000-2002
pkwwjd Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Let's talk about the mid80s when we got 25000 in Rich ... No one pays big bucks for tickets when the team stinks -- that has no reflection on the dedication of the fan base.
