Jauronimo Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 UNCONFIRMED reports are that the National Cathedral and Washington Monument may have suffered enough damage to put them at risk of collapse. However, those reports are from the local Fox News affiliate, whose motto may as well be "never report accurately tomorrow what you can sensationalize today." Saw it on Moran's twitter.
BillsRUs Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Felt it @ Roswell Park First pics: Buffalo Earthuake
Like A Mofo Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Rookies! Come out to Cali and feel what a real earthquake feels like +1
VADC Bills Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I'm in Richmond VA. I thought either the Bills made a trade to make the offensive line better or an earthquake. The odds clearly pointed to an earthquake. The Bills would never make a smart trade. Surprising how far this was felt.

Jerry Jabber Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I'm working in southern MD about 100 miles near Richmond, the floor, walls & ceiling were shaking hard. Man that was freaky!!!

BobDVA Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I loved it, absolutely invigorating. Kind of disappointed in the lack of aftershocks though.
cowtippur Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 All the way down to Wilmington NC. Now bring on Irene!

Glory Bound Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I was working in my store 2.5 hrs NW of Balt...stuff in the store was swaying...picture fell off the wall...I witnessed the wall do a wave & stuff on my shelves was vibrating. Definitely not mild, but not violent either. Somewhere in between...I'll say significant. Startling & Puzzling...took me a minute to figure it out...my 1st quake!
LewPort71 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Felt the quake in the lab where I work. Computer mouse was moving by itself...
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I guess now we know what it's like to live in California (minus the perfect weather and beautiful people). Somewhere Chef Jim is smiling and laughing his arse off! Of course in not in a non-compassionate way...
zow2 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I am in suburban DC in Maryland. My 4th floor office was really rockin and Rollin! Crazy afternoon here.
