Mr. ChumChums Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 We are in lower Manhattan, our building was evacuated, felt the whole building sway.... Same situation with us in Tribeca.

Kelly the Dog Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Pansies. Earthquakes are fun! Unless, of course, they are the building crumbling and roads disintegrating kind. I love earthquakes and never worry about them in LA. Of course, we have mud slides, wildfires and disgruntled Armenians to worry about.

RyanC883 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Apperantly you could feel it in Pittsburgh, but I was out of town at the time.
John from Riverside Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Rookies! Come out to Cali and feel what a real earthquake feels like
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I love earthquakes and never worry about them in LA. Of course, we have mud slides, wildfires and disgruntled Armenians to worry about. Only if you live in Glendale.
Bill from NYC Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 My house was rocking. The worst part was that my 17 year old daughter is at Great Adventure in NJ and wasn't answering her phone. I was picturing the worst. I got through to their local police and they said there were only tremors. The good news is that she finally called and is OK. Things like this make our draft selections and offensive line seem to be of little consequence, ya know. It's rough to be a parent. Time for a heineken.
DC Tom Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 UNCONFIRMED reports are that the National Cathedral and Washington Monument may have suffered enough damage to put them at risk of collapse. However, those reports are from the local Fox News affiliate, whose motto may as well be "never report accurately tomorrow what you can sensationalize today."
BuffaloWings Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Wow here in upstate new york just the pictures on my walls swayed. We felt it all over the Albany area. I'm on the second floor of a 6-floor building and I felt it swaying.
