Simon Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Just had a big one in DC. Anyone else? Apparently it was felt in PA and VA as well... Yeah, I felt it briefly up here in NW Pennsylvania.

finknottle Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 or was that just a Buffalo Stampede Earthquake in Virginia, 5.8
dwight in philly Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Just felt the quake here in downtown Pittsburgh.... same here in philly!
Simon Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Looks like a 5.8 centered in the middle of VA. I'm over 300 miles from there and felt something. I wonder if that number should be adjusted slightly upward, or maybe it was just very shallow?
Billzfan23 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Felt it in Boston, and was on the phone with a coworker who is located in DC and it really shook the building there
Mike In Illinois Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 On their day off, Vince Wilfork and Albert Haynesworth were having a belly-flop contest with Mom Lady as the judge. Nothing to see here...... Seriously, hope everyone/everything is okay for you who are on the east coast. Here in the Midwest we have the New Madrid Fault. Forecasters keep telling us we're overdue to have a major earthquake/
\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 SDS is still wimpering under his desk at his office.
JinVA Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I felt it here as well. The first time I've ever felt one.
GOBILLS78 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Felt her in North Carolina. The earthquake, too.
/dev/null Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I'm over 300 miles from there and felt something. I wonder if that number should be adjusted slightly upward, or maybe it was just very shallow? 6km underground And the website I got that from isn't online anymore, probably crashed from too much traffic or exceeded their quota quakes.globalincidentmap.com
