Some guy just claimed the angled foot position of OTs was due to Lawrence Taylor. Is this true?

 

 

Well, im sure Theismann thinks so.

 

Taylor was the first modern day weak side rush backer. He had an extreme angle at the LOS and had rare athleticism. Thus, the way to compensate for that was to angle the OT's feet differently.
