nichebiche Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Watching the fins and Ritchie Incognito is playing well for them, I'm sure glad we got rid of a capable guard with a mean streak, we definitely don't want guys with some nasty in them. Good Lord, do we really have to do this again this year???
Meark Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Why would you want the Bills to retain a player of just average ability who doesn't want to be here? Uh... because we don't have a right guard with average ability? Our guards are below average... well below I'd say after watching Urbik.
spartacus Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 How did we get rid of a guy that was a free agent and didn't want to sign here? more BS spin from OBD about players shown the door "not wanting to be here" don't recall any direct quotes from Incognito about refusing to play in Buffalo
Lurker Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Incognito cleared waivers with only the Bills and Dolphins placing claims for him. No team was going to part with a draft pick to sign him. Ah, what fond memories...
NoSaint Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 more BS spin from OBD about players shown the door "not wanting to be here" don't recall any direct quotes from Incognito about refusing to play in Buffalo Didn't he contemplate not even showing up then begrudgingly come to finish the year? I could be making that up but I thought there was something like that. I also don't remember a stream of "buffalo was good while it lasted" coming from his camp. Just because he didn't have a press conference announcing his distaste for buff didn't mean there were no clues,
Buffalo Barbarian Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 Because he was a RESTRICTED free agent, which means we could have tendered him at say, a 3rd round level, and kept him on the cheap OR gained a 3rd rounder from another team that singed him. No doubt he would be starting for our sorry assses right now. PS: OP, did you notice how John Jerry played (if he played)? He started the first few games for the Fish, but then got some weird ilness, lost a bunch of weight, and missed most of the season (the never disclosed what he had to my knowledge). I really was hoping we drafted him when we took Carrington. When I saw him playing well as a rookie and we had Jack Crap along out OL last year I was a bit ticked. Sorry wasn't looking at Jerry.

DaveinElma Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 2 holding calls in the 1st....one killed a long play Gave up a sack too.
benderbender Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Buddy asleep at the wheel again. The final score is the main stat I look at
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Incognito was going into his 6th year in the league, was he really restricted? No
Doc Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 No He was. Under the rules of an uncapped season, players with 5 or fewer seasons in the NFL were RFA's.
CBD Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 No Yes, he was. because they played the 2010 season without a CBA the restricted free agency rules were different.
thebug Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I watched the game and it is very clear why we didn't keep him.
Mr. WEO Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 How about that Nate Solder kid. He handled Wake like a champ for most of the night.
justnzane Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 He was. Under the rules of an uncapped season, players with 5 or fewer seasons in the NFL were RFA's. this. He finished his 5th year of service as a Bill, not his 6th as previously stated
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 He was. Under the rules of an uncapped season, players with 5 or fewer seasons in the NFL were RFA's. I sit corrected, thanks! He had 5 seasons, and in 2010 because there was no cap, players with 6 or fewer seasons were indeed RFA Here's a list, and Incognito was on it. My link
JimKelly4Pres Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Why would you say Incognito was playing well? He got two holding penalties in the first half, and got blown up twice for sacks.
Phlegm Alley Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Why would you say Incognito was playing well? He got two holding penalties in the first half, and got blown up twice for sacks. This. The OP should edit his 1st post. Incognito looked like sh*t.
