papazoid Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Each round takes ten minutes. Teams have the option of submitting a claim on a player or passing on the round. Teams also have the option of passing on all prior to the draft if they know that they won't be putting in a claim at all. Unlike the televised April draft, the selection order is not completely determined by win/loss percentage. Teams are lumped into three groups based on their winning percentage from the preceding the year and then a lottery is conducted. Put simply, despite the fact that the Carolina Panthers owned the first pick of April's draft, they aren't guaranteed to have the first pick Monday. http://rob-rang.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/13682485/31455827

Cam Newton struggles in his first start In his first exhibition start, Newton threw behind and below receivers, often failed to set his feet and looked confused at times in the Panthers’ 20-10 loss to Miami. The No. 1 overall pick completed 7 of 14 passes for 66 yards. He only had one completion to a wide receiver — a 2-yard gain to Armanti Edwards on third-and-9 late in the second quarter. Panthers coach Ron Rivera would prefer to name a Week 1 starting quarterback before next week’s game at Cincinnati, and did not indicate a leader in the competition between Newton and Jimmy Clausen.
TC in St. Louis Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The Bills should invest a 3rd round pick on Pryor. He's a beast who can fly.
papazoid Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Any pick used by a team in the 2011 supplemental draft is forfeited in the 2012 draft. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/22/supplemental-draft-starts-at-100-p-m-et/
KD in CA Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The Bills should invest a 3rd round pick on Pryor. He's a beast who can fly. Which are undoubtedly the two most important qualities for an NFL QB.
The Wiz Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) Which are undoubtedly the two most important qualities for an NFL QB. I thought you had to be really good at yelling at the guy you over threw by 15 yards too. Or is that more of the intangibles??? Edited August 22, 2011 by The Wiz
Captain Caveman Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The Bills should invest a 3rd round pick on Pryor. He's a beast who can fly. Another example of why you shouldn't draft based on footage you watched while on PCP.

Speaking of intangibles, Pryor is way better than any of our current QBs at mugging for the camera after bailing out of the pocket and running for a four yard gain.

Offside Number 76 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 are there any OL in there? Cause we could use, like four of them... No.
papazoid Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 are there any OL in there? Cause we could use, like four of them... There are seven players eligible for the draft. Alphabetically, they are: Western Carolina cornerback Torez Jones, Georgia running back Caleb King, Lindenwood University/Allen Wranglers (IFL) defensive end Keenan Mace, North Carolina defensive end Michael McAdoo, Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Northern Illinois safety Tracy Wilson.
....lybob Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The Bills should invest a 3rd round pick on Pryor. He's a beast who can fly. If he is willing to play WR, RB, TE, or OLB then I'm on Board.

papazoid Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) we need a QB who can run for their life....lol AdamSchefterAdam Schefter RT @KelbiBerg: Who seems to be the most likely to take Pryor? ... Thankfully Carolina took him. I was so worried about us drafting him. There are seven players eligible for the draft. Alphabetically, they are: Western Carolina cornerback Torez Jones, Georgia running back Caleb King, Lindenwood University/Allen Wranglers (IFL) defensive end Keenan Mace, North Carolina defensive end Michael McAdoo, Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Northern Illinois safety Tracy Wilson. Wouldn't mind McAdoo for some depth. Too bad, I was hoping to see some Ohio St. OL's available.
tecmobowlbills Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 While i would like them to bid a 4th rounder for Pryor, I doubt they will because he is not a high character player.
thebug Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 I hope we don't take him. I don't like guys who steal laptops.
The Wiz Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 OLB? WTF Hey if Maybin can make it to the NFL doing it, anyone can.
