Ok, I've seen lots of crap be "reported" in my day so I can't buy this without skepticism, but if this is true...wow! http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/politics/128413113.html Crony capitalism gone mad! That NBC story is craptacular - so slanted and over-the-top it could have been written by...well...you. The HuffPo story is much better...and scarier for not being sensationalized. While there's an interesting concept in there (using death benifits policies to backstop pension plans), if the story is even close to accurate then how they apparently structured it was unbelievably stupid. Perry looks, acts and now apparently tries to profit from being a televangelist-like politician. Because they did it to "make Wall Street speculators rich." Which, in itself, was a crazily wild speculation. The facts were disturbing enough without the sensationalist "Republicans and Wall Street are trying to kill grandma for profit!" Drowning baby kittens-----socialism gone wild! I do recall a statement from someone (in the real world, not here) a few years ago to the effect that Bush kills puppies and kittens. It was a serious statement, too.
