todd Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Does implementing a formation that has been used for three seasons really qualify as creative. Teams are prepared for, and know how to neutralize the wildcat, it's no longer a surprise. The Dolphins used it in '08 to shock the Patriots and in the next meeting Billacheat shut it down. Chan Gailey has a reputation for being an offensive guru. I hope he has some serious innovations to add to the wildcat. Otherwise, we're just arriving late for the party. You are completely missing the point. The point is creative use of *a new roster rule* regarding the 3rd QB. Of course the wildcat isn't creative any more. I'm not sure how you got that out of what I wrote. Can he play offensive tackle? Right. You say that as if it is an either-or conversation. It isn't. They should still sign a tackle. Signing smith doesn't preclude that. I'm beginning to wonder why otherwise intelligent posters see it that way.
Green Lightning Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Rule number one for correcting the spelling of others is to not do it. Rule number two is that if you decide to do it, to not make any spelling mistakes. Technically I haven't violated rule number one. Hopefully I haven't violated rule number two. Know what I mean, Vern? Rule number one: Well, sometimes you just got to do it, especially with trolls. Rule number two: Damn straight!
