coastalpika Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Yeah it looks like the 1 year strek of a person of chinese descent playing in the NFL is about to be over. He just does not have the strength to play in the NFL and defensive lineman were just walking him back into the pocket like it was nothing.
Coach Tuesday Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Wang was one of two blown tackle picks from last year's draft. Although interestingly, the Ravens picked up Calloway last week, wouldn't that be a punch in the balls if he turns out to be a decent RT.
turftoe Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I thought the addition of Levitre would make Wang as good as Wood

offyourocker Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Wang was asked to comment about this thread and if he wanted to leave Buffalo by the media. His response: "my couch pulls out, I don't"

Missing on a 5th and 7th round pick isn't the end of the world. Most of those guys are out of the league in 2 years anyway.
Bob in STL Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 (edited) Waste of a roster spot. Replace with a waiver wire. We need to see what he does by the end of the preseason, not the beginning. Hold Wang for a little while longer. Edited August 14, 2011 by Bob in STL
3rdand12 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 yep. agreed. but a little odd in your phrasing haha!
The Senator Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 (edited) Cut Wang? Because we're so deep at OT already??? (Link - Sporting News - Buffalo Bills training camp: Demetrius Bell injury exposes depth issues) After going undrafted in 2004, Jason Peters was signed, then cut, then re-signed to the Bills practice squad - and didn't crack the starting lineup until 2006, his 3rd season. The Bills will - and should - give Wang his sophomore season to see how he develops. In the meantime, maybe our Steelers-connected Ass't GM Doug Whaley could give former Pittsburgh OT Max Starks a call. Starks has played both the RT and LT positions, protecting Roethlisberger for the last 7 years and, overweight or not, I can't imagine Starks being any worse than the trio of Eric Pears/Jason Watkins/Cordaro Howard. . Defend Greece Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Do the Bills have the balls to cut Wang? Ha
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 I see third grade is back in session. Cut Wang, need stretchable band-aid.
Kevin Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Watching Wangs first or second series now. He isn't doing too bad. Just inexperienced. Not sure what all the panic is about already.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 You'd think the guy had an injury-plagued rookie year and has hardly seen real game time.
Rivermont Mike Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Wang needs to up his game. He looked kinda soft for a beast of that size. You guys have your fun--but in all seriousness (ha), a colleague who is an alum of Virginia Tech and a Hokie season ticket holder said they referred to Wang as "The Turnstile."
Kevin Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 You'd think the guy had an injury-plagued rookie year and has hardly seen real game time. No excuses! He should be a pro bowl caliber player! If we demand it it will happen! Hahahahaha
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 I've read everywhere his nickname was Godzilla.
shoretalk Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 We need to see what he does by the end of the preseason, not the beginning. Hold Wang for a little while longer. Things can still develop when you hold on ... you would hope he's not the first to be let go of ...
