OvrOfficiousJerk Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Ok, I'm liking the Brad Smith signing, but I'd like to see him throw some more to keep defenses honest when he's back there. He's been ripping off solid runs left and right. I hope they leave something special for the reg. season. Then again the secret's out on the wildcat anyway.
nucci Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Ok, I'm liking the Brad Smith signing, but I'd like to see him throw some more to keep defenses honest when he's back there. He probably will during the regular season. Not going to show much right now.

I just want to make sure they still happen, if he runs *every* time, defenses are not going to bother covering the receivers, and the runs will begin to not work.
The Poojer Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 i think i heard that he's only got 7 passes total in his nfl career...i seriously doubt that's gonna drastically change this year He probably will during the regular season. Not going to show much right now.
Dorkington Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Alright, I think I'll catch the rest on the DVR recordering of tomorrow's repeat on NFL Network... cheers guys.
NewEra Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I never realized they changed the 3rd qb rule until now. Signing Brad Smith makes a lot more sense. signing smith made sense either way. he's a very talented player. rb/wr/qb/kr/gunner. VERY big addition, even if the qb rule didnt change.
rpcolosi Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 the OL with starting unit looked pretty solid. Ubrik, however, looked rough and I am really worried about OL depth. Wang and Howard have been a joke. Howard looks horrible, and last year he was at a minimum servicable. I will say this... Bell looked good today. not average, but good.

saundena Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I'm ready to see some Mount Jasper +1. I was just going to ask if he is in yet (hard to see on my computer, resolution isn't great)
Acantha Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 My God, Maybin is absolutely horrible. He's gone during first cuts.
BillnutinHouston Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 My God, Maybin is absolutely horrible. He's gone during first cuts. Yup. Did everyone see him get knocked off his feet by a running back? Embarrassing.

clancynut Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Yup. Did everyone see him get knocked off his feet by a running back? Embarrassing. The worst part is he barely got a hand on him.
