Catmanjax Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Nix and company started with a team that didn't win for years, lots of roster spots and cap room not to mention a restless fan base. How would you describe their teambuilging approach:creative, aggressive, patient, lame.?
d_wag Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 cheap........there was talent out their this off-season that would have upgraded the roster, and they chose to not even TRY to sign it which is nothing new of course - this has been going on for years
d_wag Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 One year into rebuild. PTR don't you mean 10 years into rebuild? teams don't go a decade without the playoffs, it's ridiculous in so many ways.......and strangly some fans are still buying this crap
PromoTheRobot Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) don't you mean 10 years into rebuild? teams don't go a decade without the playoffs, it's ridiculous in so many ways.......and strangly some fans are still buying this crap The question was "this front office..." as in Nix and Gailey. Have they been here 10 years? What is strange is how the same people complain about everything and yet they are still here every year. The NFL has 31 other teams. Pick one. BigdaddyinOrlando Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Although the path we are on looks bleak right now, like what we will be and accomplish in the near future! Hang in thier everyone and look at the big picture. Getting younger, bigger, faster and I believe it will come to fruition starting next year and last for the next decade with a couple of championships in there!! One can only dream right!!

PTR check the common theme here - it ain't the front office, it's the owner.......until that changes nothing does, rebuilding year after rebuilidng year.......bad draft after bad draft.......solid starter leaving after solid starter leaving.......open your eyes

But this was Nix's call, not Ralph. This was not a money move. This was picking our newer WRs over an aging vet. It was a gamble move but one that might pay off in the long run, not that you will be around to care. PTR
Catmanjax Posted August 13, 2011 Author Posted August 13, 2011 The question is about the FO. I thought they were old school, run the show type guys. They say winning is the bottom line. How good of a job have they done improving our roster?
Thoner7 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 One year into rebuild. PTR 11 years into rebuild.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 11 years into rebuild. I year of Nix regime. Nix wasn't here for the last 11 though you can certainly blame him if it makes you feel better. PTR

PTR open your eyes.........this was a ralph move, a money move, to line his pockets even further..........it's won't be reinvested, as it hasn't been in the past with the ridiculous "cash to the cap" crap that just resulted in more cash into ralph's bank account, nothing more nothing less........same old, same old, yet every year people come on this board to defend it........this is the only board on the web where people would defend this move - and they never learn Edited August 13, 2011 by d_wag

How good of a job have they done improving our roster? Agreed but atleast let the season start and play out a few games before we damn the whole team. I think the team will improve a lot as the season goes on esp. on the defense. All I'm saying is to atleast see some games before we condemn the whole season! Keep the faith everyone!!
BillsFanM.D. Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I year of Nix regime. Nix wasn't here for the last 11 though you can certainly blame him if it makes you feel better. PTR I agree. One year in with this group. Infancy is my word. Let's see if we progress this year.

If this was a money move why did Ralph pay Evans so much for two years then get rid of him when he was going to make next to nothing the last two years Seriously people here get so wrapped up with pissing and moaning they don't even think things through! Do we hope that the Bills strike gold with that 4th round pick? Do you want to see a list of their 4th round picks over the last few years? Just not sure what they were trying to accomplish here.

Do you want to see a list of their 4th round picks over the last few years? Just not sure what they were trying to accomplish here. They have a bunch of good young receivers. If they kept Evans then we lose a Donald Jones or Naaman Roosevelt. If Gailey thinks these guys are worth keeping then why hang on to a guy who is on the backside of his career? Is trading Evans risky? Yes. But the payoff is that these new guys turn into a solid receiving corps. PTR
