Kelly the Dog Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Fear The Man Behind The Curtain. Buddy may not have even been on board.
Shoto Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Lee Evans for a late round 4th pick, horible trade. The Baltimore blogs love this trade and are praising Ozzie for this deal, I wish I could say the same for our GM.
Beerball Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 1st im happy for lee. now hes playing for a contender. i hope they make it. that would also help with the pick we get but if its really just a 4th......... well, still happy for lee. How so?
Billsfan4ever14580 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Buddy and Co. must have really liked the video they saw on T.O's Twiter page today Edited August 12, 2011 by Billsfan4ever14580
dave mcbride Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 More cap space It's times like these when I thank the lord that I'm a Yankees fan.
jahnyc Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Terrible move. We will see if Nix is a good evaluator of college talent, but he is in way over his head as GM. It feels like a salary dump, and combined with our low level of activity in free agency, it seems that we are years away from a playoff caliber team.
cantankerous Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 No, he's not. He was saying the Bills were talking to the Ravens about a lineman before the compensation was even released. I seriously doubt it. You think Evans is worth a 4th annnnd a player (from the Ravens) ? I don't.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I'm okay with it, since we were able to land the accomplished Buster Davis.
voodoo poonani Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Mort reporting that the Bills might be getting a lineman as well: http://twitter.com/#!/MORTREPORT who? someone baltimore was going to cut i bet
SoggyHog Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I bet we take a WR with that 4th pick next year!
Fingon Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) I seriously doubt it. You think Evans is worth a 4th annnnd a player (from the Ravens) ? I don't. No, I don't think he's worth it. Holmes and Boldin went for the same or less. Edited August 12, 2011 by Fingon
muggins Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 This team needs a new front office, coach, and owner. Nobody over the age of 55.
CosmicBills Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 4th round pick is good Yeah. For Baltimore.
Jobu Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 This team needs a new front office, coach, and owner. Nobody over the age of 55. Why? I think it was a wise move. Evans trade value only goes down from here. We have a **** ton of young guys. I am happy for Naaman--this likely seals his spot on the roster. This team is looking better everyday.
Dave_In_Norfolk Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Yeah. For Baltimore. I wonder how many passes he will catch between the hash marks for the Raven?
GOBILLS78 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 They'll be able to package those two fourth-round picks to move up three spots in the third round to take Humphrey Aiken, CB, Bethune-Cookman. Think of the possibilities!
hondo in seattle Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 If I was the GM, I wouldn't have traded Lee for a 4th round pick. Are you kidding? Most 4th rounders don't amount to much. Very few are impact players. At best they are role players, if they make the squad at all. Lee, on the other hand, was a solid starter. As "Kelly the Fair and Balanced Dog" showed in a previous post, Lee played an important role in most of Stevie's TDs. His speed and experience demanded respect. If Fitz had more time to throw deep, Lee would post better numbers. Furthermore, Lee is a positive influence in the locker room. Voted team captain five years in a row. And I wonder which veteran is going to mentor all those young wideouts now? We already had too few quality players. Now we have one less.
