zow2 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 My first thought when i saw this awful story was to question why so many highly trained SEALS were riding on one "bus" in a terribly hostile area? (And i am not a military person and know next to nothing about strategic and tactical fighting). I see these Chinook copters going over my house evry now and then. They appear to be big and fairly slow. I imagine the guy who shot the RPG had no idea what a precious haul he took down. Makes me ill to think about.
shrader Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I saw a truck this morning with a bumper sticker that said "Navy Seals 1, Bin Laden 0". I couldn't help but cringe a bit.
tennesseeboy Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 From today's washington times.... http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/aug/10/fatal-seal-mission-was-not-a-rescue/ a little different than the "troops pinned down" story that they were trying to feed us.
