BuffaloATL Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I'm guessing he's still around only because of that nice signing bonus- the Bills have invested too much money in him to part ways- but would it make sense to cut him and use the cap space to add another player, one that can contribute? Just sayin'.....
Dragonborn10 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Maybin doesn't take up that much cap space of which the Bills have plenty. Why not sign the best OL and TE regardless of what they do with Maybin? Because Gailey doesn't plan on using the TE it now seems obvious. They will probably keep 6 WR's and that won't even include Brad Smith. They still may look at an upgrade at RT unless someone looks great in camp. As for Maybin, why cut him this early. At a minimum give him a few more pre-season games at OLB. Merriman should hardly see the field in the pre-season. Let Moats, Arrington, and Maybin get those reps.
