Times has a story on strange super sonic objects, Navy pilots and such...

Leon Golub, a senior astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said the possibility of an extraterrestrial cause “is so unlikely that it competes with many other low-probability but more mundane explanations.” He added that “there are so many other possibilities — bugs in the code for the imaging and display systems, atmospheric effects and reflections, neurological overload from multiple inputs during high-speed flight.”

Lieutenant Graves still cannot explain what he saw. In the summer of 2014, he and Lt. Danny Accoin, another Super Hornet pilot, were part of a squadron, the VFA-11 “Red Rippers” out of Naval Air Station Oceana, Va., that was training for a deployment to the Persian Gulf.

Lieutenants Graves and Accoin spoke on the record to The Times about the objects. Three other pilots in the squadron also spoke to The Times about the objects but declined to be named.

Lieutenants Graves and Accoin, along with former American intelligence officials, appear in a six-part History Channel series, “Unidentified: Inside America’s U.F.O. Investigation,” to air beginning Friday. The Times conducted separate interviews with key participants.

The pilots began noticing the objects after their 1980s-era radar was upgraded to a more advanced system. As one fighter jet after another got the new radar, pilots began picking up the objects, but ignoring what they thought were false radar tracks.

2020-2021 window is wide open.

Limited disclosure will be an attempt to control this narrative (that's Tom Delonge's group's purpose), they're hoping it's going to be enough of a distraction so people don't ask more questions, but it won't work the way they're intending.

https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/28231/multiple-f-a-18-pilots-disclose-recent-ufos-encounters-new-radar-tech-key-in-detection

n a major breakthrough in what could be the most fascinating story of our time, five U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet crewmen have recounted a number of incredibly strange encounters with unidentified flying objects off the East Coast of the United States. Two of the pilots went on the record. The surreal craft they encountered had performance that defies known propulsion and aerodynamic capabilities, and are described as looking like something akin to special effects you would have seen in a sci-fi movie circa the late 1980s. The pilots' accounts also point to a major sensor upgrade on their aircraft that made the presence of these craft even detectable at all.

What's even more important is that these events took place as recently as 2015, over a decade after the now famous Nimitz incident with the so-called 'Tic Tac' craft occurred. This is all coming to light—at least officially—just weeks after the U.S. Navy said it is changing its procedures for its service members reporting unexplained phenomenon in their operating environments.

The War Zone had recently published an in-depth expose about the Navy's procedural changes, a number of other revelations surrounding the Tic Tac incident, and more recent developments, that concluded that the phenomenon is indeed real. That hard to swallow fact has huge implications, regardless of the objects' origins.

Nearly every day this month, and multiple times this year, we have a MSM article discussing this topic seriously.

The number of "serious" articles on this subject over the last month by the same MSM outlets (plus more) is higher than the month before, which was higher than the month before. Over the past 6 months there has been a growing number of outlets covering this.

Sorry to raise the spectre of PPP here but with the pissing contest between Trump and the "Deep State" and Trump's recent declassification kick, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump declassified alot of things (UFO and other topics) that some folks don't want to see made public in late 2020 (if not re-elected) or late 2024 (if re-elected)

100%

There's a big game of disclosure chicken going on right now between the administration and those who are actually in control of this tech/research/issue. Without getting political (other than X-Files conspiracy theory level political), the group in control of this information have been holding this disclosure card as an ace up their sleeve for a number of years. There have been numerous "plans" to disclosure to public in a limited sense the existence of ETI and advanced Tech (see: Project Blue Beam as an example) in order to control that narrative and re-frame it as they wish. This card was to be played when these (imo) bad actors got cornered and needed a "get out of jail free" card. No matter what the news cycle is that day (treason, sedition, illegal spying, Russian collusion/conspiracy, even global war), a public revelation of ETI and advance tech would bury it all and begin a major paradigm shift.

Now, with this administration doing what it's been doing, they've been putting pressure on these gatekeepers to release the tech first (old tech to the MiC/"Deep State" but amazing/star trek level stuff for us pleebs) and then follow that with an acknowledgement of ETIs. It's wildly unconfirmed, but it has been rumored (by more than one otherwise reputable source) that among 45's first orders after being sworn in was to order the DoD to declassify over 20,000 classified patents (I forget the exact number, but it was in the thousands). Trump was told, in no uncertain terms, that doing so immediately would be incredibly destabilizing and so they agreed to a 4 year roll out plan.

We're nearing the end of year 2 of this plan (if it's real, of course). And based on the uptick in these types of articles (which focus more on the advanced aeronautic tech more than ETI), and the development of Space Force (which asked for $8b in uniforms -- uniforms -- that's not for uniforms) it seems like they're sticking to their schedule. Space Force is the vehicle in which they can pass off old tech as "new" as they declass it without raising too many questions about its origin.

Guessing wildly (dreaming?) but I would anticipate the first bit of tech to be revealed during a big parade, perhaps July 4th (next year, not this year) and for that tech to be the flying black triangles (TR-3B). There have been more and more sightings of these around bases in Florida and California since 2017 -- some of those sightings have been listed in this thread:

I put the window at 2020-2021 for the first round of major disclosure (assuming Trump wins), but if he were to lose, as you suggest, it might all come at once.

Newsweek article from 5/30/19: Tom DeLonge: America has Been Investigating UFOs for Years. Time for the Rest of Us To Catch Up

History Channel mini-series begins airing on 5/31/19.

Quote

This quest to reveal the truth, and desire to share what we know about UAP with the masses propelled us to partner with HISTORY, one of the most unbiased and authentic brands in television, to produce “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation TM.” This six part, non-fiction series premiering on Friday, May 31 st will give the public an opportunity to see newly authenticated evidence and footage; learn the common characteristics of how these UAP move and operate; and perhaps, most significantly, see interviews from eyewitnesses and former military personnel who have never spoken out before.

Together, TTSA and HISTORY have created a truly remarkable program that gives an unprecedented amount of information about UAP and that will hopefully spark the public to ask questions and look for answers. This is not a UFO hunting show, but rather an opportunity to be transparent and thorough with what we have uncovered about these unknown aircraft infiltrating our skies, and share our opinion on how we should be addressing them.

Ultimately, acknowledging and studying the existence of UAP will help us better understand what else is out there and how we fit in. It impacts not only our perception of who we are as human beings but also our understanding of where we’re going and how we treat each other. And that might be the greatest change of all.
