I thought he would be a great rotational player in N.E. The move must have been prompted by Haynesworth's addition. Maybe his shoulder was worse than the general public knew. According to a Boston Herald report, Stroud has a lingering problem with his shoulder. He started 14 games with Buffalo last season, making 49 tackles and three sacks.

I feel awful for him, I liked him. He would have been a wonderful contributor to the Pats. He'll go to a team like the Raiders or a team that has some holes where he can rotate in and serve his time out.
