Scrappy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Moats is supposed to try & move inside, it's probably because we are stocked at OLB.

vincec Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 LOL!!!! But seriously, I think they just want him on the field... So he can't beat Kelsay out at OLB???
High Mark Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Moats looks like crap inside in 2010. Moves outside due to injuries, plays great at OLB and is a pleasant surprise. In 2011, the Bills move him back inside for reasons beyond comprehension. Sounds like the same old Bills. No way we improve on 4-12 at this rate. PS if we are going to move an OLB inside and have him suck there, why not move Kelsay? he sucks everywhere
marauderswr80 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 im curious as to why they are doing that......stop gap so they dont have to spend money

DrDawkinstein Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 was this 3 page thread, bitching about the same thing, not enough? http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/132215-moats-starts-practice-at-ilb/ By the way... exactly, we're talking about the first week of practices when you are just getting guys acclimated to drills, and also need guys who know a little about the defense. it could also be that they are getting Moats work there now, so he learns more of the defense in case injuries force him to change positions. doesnt sound like he'll be starting or even staying there... At inside linebacker, the Bills currently have veterans Andra Davis and Reggie Torbor as starters. Third-round draft pick Kelvin Sheppard is sure to start soon, but whether he will be ready to start the first month of the season is debatable. Sixth-round pick Chris White is one backup inside. The Bills will open camp with Arthur Moats, an outside man last year, working inside. "Those young guys will come in there and compete and learn as much as they can as fast as they can," Gailey said. "We'll see where that takes us. But both those guys (Davis and Torbor) have played in games and played as winners before, so there's no need to push a panic button. We've got solid players there that can help us win, great leaders. I think we're fine there." http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article506190.ece

Don't know why people are acting like Moats played like a man possessed at OLB. He was decent but it's not the end of the world that he's moving inside.

The Moats myth has really gotten out of hand. A couple good rushes from the edge and he's LT II. He is ATROCIOUS against the run regardless of where he lines up. And as bad as he is against the run he's even worse in pass coverage. GO BILLS!!!

Moats has a way to go to live up to the "Legend of Jasper". Only in Buffalo where they draft the premier DL in the entire draft, do we get more talk about some 7th round blob.
offyourocker Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 So he can't beat Kelsay out at OLB??? hey, Kelsay is like a Pro Bowler in the Bills payscale
