CSBill Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 "To make room for Asomugha and other free agents, the Jets re-worked the contracts of running back LaDainian Tomlinson, linebackers Calvin Pace and Bart Scott and guard Brandon Moore." That is just too funny!!!! Couldn't happen to a better organization.
shoretalk Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Poor Rex poor poor Rex ... Now if their owner wasn't so cheap!
bills_red Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Asante Samuel, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie + Nnamdi Asomugha, wow.
Doc Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Now if they could just lose Edwards and Cromartie, that would be awesome!
BuffaloBillsForever Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 "To make room for Asomugha and other free agents, the Jets re-worked the contracts of running back LaDainian Tomlinson, linebackers Calvin Pace and Bart Scott and guard Brandon Moore." Couldn't happen to a better organization. LOL. That is a laughing stock. Both their organization and fans. Rex and the G.M overplaying their cards with an already successful defense and letting their anemic offense just rot and get worse going into this season. The only two things they had with that offense is the running game because of their offensive line and the playmaking ability of Brad Smith. The minutia of Rex et at al is pathetic. Great post.
ExWNYer Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Too bad for the Jets What's interesting to me in this whole thing is that earlier in the day when everyone, everywhere was saying it would be Dallas or the Jest, the Jest or Dallas...Adam Schefter said that there could be a "mystery team" involved. When they pressed him, he said something to the effect of "there are 30 other teams out there and only 2 teams are in on the best free agent on the market?". Then he just sat there with a sly, little smile on his face. I don't know if he was just speculating or actually had some inside info and wasn't spilling for some reason.
Hater Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I love it, the Jets thought they had him & the Eagles come out of nowhere & grab him
The Poojer Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 (edited) philly didnt come out of nowhere...theyve been hot on his trail since early this year....jets didn't 'need' him after they re-upped holmes... I love it, the Jets thought they had him & the Eagles come out of nowhere & grab him Edited July 29, 2011 by The Poojer

Yeah, the Jets have it rough.
The Poojer Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 but then you look at the other side...desean(holding out), vick and young(potentially)...they are one 'stepped on pair of puma's' away from a serious problem.... Asante Samuel, Asomugha, and DRC? Thats dam good
RealityCheck Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Poor Rex poor poor Rex ... Now if their owner wasn't so cheap! I'm glad it's not our problem.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Yeah, the Jets have it rough. Thank you. I find it pretty pathetic that we are relegated to finding solace in the fact that 1 division opponent whiffed on a FA acquisition. The AFCE is and in recent years has been involved in a nuclear arms race and we are equipped with bb guns. Where is the evidence that this franchise is serious about competing in the W-L column and striving for the top of our division? There is none. Unless of course, you count Tyler Thigpen and Brad Smith. This organization, like its owner, is on life support and they are swindling their loyal fanbase.
aussiebills Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Not so scared of the Jets anymore, but the Patriots that a different question
Talley56 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I was actually kind of hoping the Jets would get him. Not that I want to see the Jets succeed but I want someone to finally knock of the Patriots even if it is the Jets. That's not looking so likely anymore.
eball Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Some of you guys who believe the Bills have "wasted" picks on DBs should really read some of the articles out of Philly about the Asomugha signing. "You can never have enough cover corners."

Doc Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Yeah, the Jets have it rough. If the Jets lose Edwards and Cromartie, after losing Woody (to retirement) and Brad Smith, they'll definitely have it rougher.
