"Titled “Article 11, Transition Rules for the 2011 League Year,” here’s what the document provides.

Today, the NFL will publish a Free Agency List.

On Tuesday, team facilities will open for voluntary training, conditioning, and classroom instruction.

On Tuesday, trades can begin."

You really should click on the link… very interesting stuff and important dates too.

Again this is not journalistic speculation. This timeline is from the actual document presented by the league to the players as far as how the preseason and league calendar will ramp up.

For all the expected frenzy, imagine what the medical staffs are about to undergo. It makes sense that no player should hit the field before complete checkout & clearance by the MS. So, who/what positions get the first Dr. Visits? Considering the (typical) dearth of serious injuries from last year, all those guys must be attentatively attended to, to say nothing of Bell & Wood's serious injuries from 2 seasons ago.

I think they'd (the team) almost have to have an around the clock Dr. visits to get every player medically analyzed and diagnosed for duty..

Ah well, the med staff guys had plenty of time to sleep the last 4 months.
