Dante
Just a quick look at their wiki pages. Wassserman has done absolutely nothing except go to school to learn how to be a liar. I mean politician. Nothing else. West served over 20 years in the military. Through his career always being put in charge of things. Battalion Commander and so on. ROTC instructor of the year etc. Success and achievement all the way through. Kind of tells me he's a leader. Then watching him take on this particular bit of ugliness. Not talking about just her looks btw no wonder shes a shrew. He handles it with class and dignity. I'm thinking I would vote for this guy for potus np. Anyway, I thought their bios told a lot. Jim in Anchorage
It is ironic that the Black Caucus is aligning against him. They do that with black Conservatives. I don't remember Clarence Thomas being showered with love by any of the black "interest" groups. Edited July 22, 2011 by Jim in Anchorage

....lybob
Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district! Understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior. You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me! I have seen him all over the news the last two days, and during his 2010 campaign. I think he comes off like an arrogant !@#$. Explaining that his military service factored into his language, is an insult to the military. His letter was a bit over the top, especially when you listen to Wasserman-Schultz comments...I am sure you won't take the 3 minutes to do that...you will rely on Wiki pages...the guy comes off with someone with serious issues. Unbelievable. You do realize, your new Wiki hero chose to retire from the military, rather than face a dishonorable discharge for his role of using unnecessary force during an interrogation? And this wasn't during the PC Obama years (as I am sure you would assume) but in 2003. Composed, calm and dignified my ass...he is the flavor of the moment for the Republicans, and is basking in the attention...he will end up apologizing, when the charm of coming off like a misogynistic clown wears off. West, to me, has always come off as someone with anger issues, and seems pretty bitter. Another rube for the Tea Party...and he loves to play the race card...I know how much you guys love that around here. The Great Santini syndrone Buftex - not everyone from the military is Eisenhower- Patton and MacArthur would probably have been crappy Presidents despite their military accomplishments- and Dante do we have to give every politician with military experience reverence?- because that would include Hitler, Mussolini, Chávez, Qaddafi, Mubarak and so on and I don't remember such reverence for John Kerry and do you think that Wesley Clark wouldn't be challenged if he ran for president. Wacka
She rules South Florida like Pelosi rules the SF Bay area. He beat the dem incumbent. During the campaign, literature was mailed that gave out his SSN# and the ID # and address of where his wife worked. She personally led a protest in front of his campaign HQ (I heard it on the radio today) calling him a misogynist. The comments she made were directed at him and were given immediately after he talked and left the floor. Notice how fast she darts to the front to give her speech. She wanted to do it before he returned. His e-mail was a private email sent to five people. Who released it to the press?

Of course, Patton and Dugout Doug were pretty crappy generals as well. And in more modern times, many American generals would have at least the skill sets (though maybe not the personality) to be decent presidents - anyone with a couple of stars probably has two graduate degrees and a top-flight MBA, and significant management experience. You knew the minute West went off on this useless mouthpiece for the progressive movement that the FIRST THING the left would do is go after his character. What's next? Wait. Let me guess. Arguing that his service in the military is actually bullschitt because hey...even Hitler was a military guy.

Oh yes, the left always does this...if only they could learn to handle themselves objectively and with the aplomb exhibited by the right, so consistently...you kill me...it was West, himself who used his years in the military as the reason for his harsh language. HE BRANG IT UP HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!!!! And, he also braught up his race and the fact that he is a Republican as the reason the left is going out of their way to condem him...really? You don't think if he was white, nobody would be saying anything? The guy is as clueless as his defenders, it seems. I think there were questions about Wests character before this...and, you may have no use for Wasserman-Schultz, but what, exactly, did she say that set off such a hateful, nasty response? It is just ironic, to me at least, that you guys are blowing him for his excellent military record, but he is using it as an excuse for his boorish behavior, and, anger management (or lack of) led to a premature end to his illustrious military career. I don't think questioning his character, for his over the top response, is out of bounds. LA, no matter what side of the aisle you are on, do you honestly think that was an appropriate response to her comments? btw- don't mistake me for "even was a military guy" thing...that was pretty silly! Did any of you clowns listen to Wasserman-Schults comments? The ones that set this idiot off? If he can't take a disagreement over a policy, you really have to wonder why the guy is in politics. However you feel about Wasserman-Schultz, his language was very revealing of a person with some serious anger issues, at the very least. He is basking in this right now...but I am almost willing to bet, he ends up making some sort of aplogoy...even if it just one of those Tea Party "I am sorry that my comments were taken out of context, and that they offended anybody..." You mean her disregard for protocol and calling him out on the floor? You mean her voting for Obamacare which will get its cost savings out of gutting Medicare and then turning around and accusing West of taking Medicare away from the impoverished Broward County grandmas? How is any self-sustaining adult supposed to take the left seriously when the head of the DNC never had a job in the real world in her life?
