What is "Right-Wing Extremism"?

Recommended Posts

It's comical hearing lefties talk of how "crazy" or "extreme" any conservative candidate is who may have a philosophical difference on the role of government. There really is no extremist (with the possible exception of Ron Paul) in the mix. A fiscal right wing/libertarian extremist would push for completely abolishing every remnant of the welfare state. That means no more SSA, Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment insurance, DOE, HUD, etc.

Rather, the crazy right wing radicals suggest such extremem measures as implementing relatively minor reforms of social security and medicare that won't go into effect for 15+ years, and even then would leave these behemoth institutions strong, bloated, and in tact.

The left however stops just short of nationalizing anything and everything, yet to suggest they may have socialist tendencies elicits eye rolling scoffs. So what is an extremist, really?

That's easy. Anyone who disagrees with Obama is called out as a right wing extremist by the left and the media in general. Real right wing extremists are the ones who want to abolish the federal government altogether, are probably living "off the grid" and preparing for the day when the government tries to take away their guns.

I disagree. A right wing extremist is any non-member of the People's Party. Any of these non-members of the People's Party who disagrees Obama is doubly labeled a racist

It's the Democrats code word for Fascism, but they couldn't get away with calling those who follow Republicanism fascists for fear they would come off as being extremists the very thing they fault Republicans who believe in Republicanism of being. Republicans should come up with a different word for communists.

I see precious few moderates on either side. Personally, I think the right wants to take away our government subsidized healthcare, where the left wants to tax us, so we can;t afford it at that point. Too bad we can't be more like China.

I think you know what I meant. There is a reason they have a much stronger economy.

A nearly unlimited supply of cheap labor?

And a century's worth of catching up to do to become a developed nation?

And none of those pesky environmental or labor regulations that we in the West take for granted

Because they are run by scientists, and engineers who are afraid of social unrest instead of MBAs, and lawyers who are afraid they missed a bribe somewhere.

right wing extremist aren't one thing but i'll bet a psychological caricature would include characteristics such as angry, unfulfilled, insecure, discontent, egocentric, uncompassionate, selfish, prone to unstable relationships and abusive. but maybe not. just a guess.
