boyst Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) This makes me sad to be a Carolian. Human. Freakin Kinston, it's a whole other type of Carolina, it's where Jaime Pressley is from and her role in Ring Leader or whatever movie Jerry Springer had is about right for that town. If it was any closer I would take some diesel oil mixed in Tordon and blast it...maybe for more laughs take lime and write 6 6 6 in the grass nearby. Also, I would have made a joke about the Mexican population here but I have already used up my 1 joke per year on mexicans combined with jesus (christianity)... Edited July 1, 2011 by jboyst62

And it was the post of the year! Too bad it was so early in 2011, no where else for the board to go but down.
JoeF Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Kinston is home of King's barbeque--coincidence -- I think not. It will be King of Kings barbeque soon... You don't get much more rural small town than Kinston -- the Neuse Sport Shop is a hang out and a great stop on the way to the coast. Live bait of all kinds for sale. Kings is right next store. Its a God fearing little hamlet with all kinds of interesting folk. Its also the home of former NC State basketball star Charles Shackleford who once publicly uttered the quote: "Left hand, right hand, it don't matter, I am amphibious...." Edited July 1, 2011 by JoeF
