Adam
If tobacco smoke is legal, why not marijuana? At least pot has some medical uses, while tobacco is worthless

Fingon
Legalizing pot won't end the war on drugs. It's a start. Most of the DEA's budget goes to fighting pot.

Magox
This would be a step in the right direction, not only would there would be much more revenues from marijuana sales to the government, but violent crimes across the border seeping into the U.S would dramatically drop off. But then they wouldn't be dealing with the fun and laid back Cheeches and Chongs of this world but the ones hopped up on coke. All kidding aside, I agree with you. Just the drop-off of the huge volume of smuggling would help to calm things down.
